My local UPN station is running LHOTP again, after a 2-3 week absence.

Today's episode was about Pa and Laura going to see Mr Edwards. He had hurt his leg somehow, and was feeling sorry for himself.

Anyone know what happened to him?

And also, why did his wife disappear in later seasons? I don't know if this was ever explained...

If memory serves, Mr. Edward's leg got crushed by a logging accident that is seen at the beginning of the episode.

Later on in the series, he develops a drinking problem, which led to the disappearance of Mrs. Edwards--she divorces him. In the episode where she wants a divorce, she is played by a different actress. Probably because Bonnie Bartlett was busy with St. Elsewhere.
