View Full Version : N@N destroyed The Episode-UP in The Air because......

They cut out almost 2 min of Jack's dancing. I think it's best if N@N skipped over this episode because the dancing scenes are a Classic Jack Tripper moment and I just feel everyone should see that scene. And since N@N doesn't show it, no point in showing the episode.

I think it's better seeing part of the dancing scene then nothing of it at all. IMO It's a dumb reason to skip an episode just because a scene is partially edited out. If the only reason the episode is good is because of that scene, then the rest of the episode must be pretty bad. I personally don't like the episode that much other than the dancing scene which has been partially edited out, but I still think it should be shown.

Every good episode has a scene that STANDS OUT and the dancing scene is what stood out. The entire dancing scene was 2 min and N@N showed 10 seconds. That dancing was the most entertaining part of the show.

I thought it looked ok to me, they may have edited some of it, but I don't think it was a big chunk of it out, and I agree with Sean thats its a dumb reason to skip an episode, becuase part of the episode is edited, just my thoughts.

Well, I don't record the show, but here's how I look at it. I would rather have a chopped up copy then have N @ N skip over it all together. Wouldn't it nag you if you only needed this episode to have a full collection and N @ N won't show it? When TNN showed it, your cable went out each and every time and now TNN doesn't show it anymore, so N @ N is basically your only hope. It nags me if I'm taping something and the channel skips an episode or two.

But the part that N@N cut out was one of the funniest moments in Sitcom history. So why have that episode if you can't enjoy Jack's entire dance scene. I was able to get a TBS copy of that episode yesterday and Jenny i watched Jack's dance scene about 14 times. It is defintely a classic. I think all Three's comany fans should be treated to Jack's dancing scene.

This is one of my favorite episodes SOLOMON so please do not diss it. I know N@N is a huge pain in the A$$, but they had to edit out that part to make room for the commercials.

But if it's your favorite episode, why would you want to see the N@N version? They really damaged the funniest scene.

I just joined this chat room for 1 reason. To find out why (2 times in a row) that dancing scene w/ the flower pot on Jack's head was cut out. Is it because they have to make room for commerials or something else? It is my favorite episode of all time, actually out of every show on TV ever and I get so excited to see it and they cut it out. I even emailed nick@nite asking them why. No reply. It still is a great episode though.

Sounds Like N@N needs to hand the show over to another network.

They cut almost the entire dance out. They only showed a little piece of it.

I've never even seen the unedited version. Lucky me. :( Nick at Nite is crazy for cutting out that scene, I really wish I could see the whole thing. I still find the episode hilarious, though.

N@N is just flat out stupid, I'm just glad they still have Three's Ccompany on there. I wish for N@N summer thing they could have all shows run commercial free, so everyone can see the unedited versions of there favorite shows, I kno wthat will never happen, but it would be nice.

THat's why Three's Company should have stayed on TBS. TBS had the whole dance scene.

i just don't understand why they cut out THAT part. they splice it back right to where janet is talking to greg brady. Who cares about that, it is a pointlesss scene. Fine , we know it has to be editted but why THERE? Does john ritter have a website?

Solomon.....I agree with you!!! I have taped this ep twice now and have been "raging mad" when that scene was cut. That was the FUNNIEST thing I've ever seen. My sister told me that she also taped that ep and was PISSED! We love that episode so much. I also believe that the "Greg Brady" scene could have been cut....i mean really, the networks had no trouble putting in commercials when the full episode aired. Why do they have to try to squeeze in extra commercials, just for an extra buck?!? Geeeeeeeze! I logged on tonight to try and find someone who has the uncut episode to see if I can pay them to make me a copy. It would make a great surprise birthday present for my sister. She'll never see it coming. If anyone is willing to make me a copy, just let me know how much money to send and I'll have it in the mail ASAP! THANKS!!!!!

PS - I'm so glad to see that so many people still love this show. I have found a bunch of different message boards on the show. I guess the show will be around for a long time!!!!!:D

I have the TBS/N@N version COMBINED and the entire dance scene is included. I actually eatched the dance scene about 10 times. If you are interested, email me at solomond@webtv.net and we can work out the details.

i agree if nick at nite edited half the dancing scene out then there is no point in showing that classic episode i do not even watch that channell anymore they do not know how to handle the classic tv shows these days.

Why are we even bringing this topic up from 9 years ago? Three's Company hasn't even been on Nick at Nite in many years, so there's no need to be discussing this now. However, that episode Up in the Air was on Antenna TV the other night on Election Day and after they announced Obama won, I flipped it over to Antenna TV and saw the rest of this episode, including the full version of Jack's dance sequence.

Antenna TV showed the episode the other day with the full dance scene and I bumped up the old thread for a certain member.

Yeah Nick @ Nite took a lot of scenes from three's company when it aired on there, I've been a three's company fan since I was 8 years old, I discovered it on Nick @ Nite then when I watch the show on DVD I'm like WHOA never seen that part before! XD
