I'm not a fan of AMC but I was reading InTouch, and it said:

Susan Lucci doesn't seem to get along with to many people, that's probably because from what I gather she is very ambitiousm, which you have to be in the soap business. I've heard that she and SMG never got along, something about being envious of an emmy nomination for SMG started it, I think. I know that Susan and Deidre don't get along at ALL. From what I've heard they hate each others guts, most likely because of the deep rivalry between the two ladies. I have nothing againist Susan L. though, I think she is a great actress, BUT I think Dee is the Queen Diva of Soaps.

Oh this is old news. We knew that years ago.

And just so you know....

Susan and Sarah did not get along for many reasons...

1.) Sarah was like 16 and was playing a 25 year-old, so she was a little immature, which aggrivated Susan, who is very professional and tends to want to just get her work done. also could often compete for attention that should/could have been Susans.

2.) They simply had personalities that clashed, which happens to the best of us.

3.) Susan was a little bit jealous of Sarah winning an Emmy at 17 after only her second nomination, when at that point Susan had been nominated some 17 times without any wins.

As for Susan not getting along with people, that is so false. Susan is one of the most liked people in daytime and the tales of her being a prima-donna and witch are largley embelished and made-up, she has a reputation as a class act.

Case in point at the 1992 Emmys after Erika Slezak won (beating Susan Out), Susan presented Outstanding Drama Series and she said "Congratulations Erika, You're The Best and I Vote For You Every Year." Which caused Erika to cry and got Susan great respect.

Sarah and Susan may never be best friends, but thats okay because when Sarah Geller is long gone and buried Susan Lucci will still be remembered as a Daytime Legend who created one of the most famous characters in television history.

Sarah will be remembered as a vampire slayer when Susan is gone and buried too. Let's face facts Sarah is more popular then Susan. Sorry JT I know you love her, but Sarah is a very talented popular actress. It shows by how it didn't take her 17 times to win an emmy. Plus she has won awards as great actress on Buffy. Sarah rocks.

I wasn't making fun of Sarah i was simply saying that Susan Lucci is the most popular actress in Daytime history and will be remembered forever, while SMG is popular now but will not be remembered years from now.. Also SMG has NEVER won ANY award for "Buffy", No Emmy, No Golden Globe, No SAG... NOTHING... Also as far as Susan goes, how many other actresses can say that they've been nominated for 22 Daytime Emmys? NONE, Just Susan, the most respected actress in Daytime. Sarah and Susan are famous in different ways, Susan is famous as a soap star, broadway star and movie-of-the week star and Sarah has been on one tv show that was just canceled. Sarah has been on other shows. Do more research before you post. She was also in another soap before AMC I think, called Swans Crossing.


Susan has not been on TV everyday. There are times when Susan won't appear on AMC for a week.

Fine. I was just sticking up for my favorite actress. Sarah is very talented. Besides I know that is what you are doing anyways, sticking up for Susan, but I like that actress. I just hate her role as Erica though. The writers need to make her get along with Kendall. That is her daughter. That is the only gripe I have with AMC, that and the teens being added in.

Yeah So Swan's Crossing was low-rated and got CANCELED. Just like Buffy was... LOW rated and Canceled....

OBVIOUSLY Susan hasn't been on LITERALLY everyday but still she's been on since 1970.. and has been the STAR of "AMC" always.

Well Erica and Kendall hate each other for many reasons, there is a long, long, long history there and too just make them all of a sudden like each other would be totally insulting and annoying to the long-time viewers how have watched "AMC" for all these years. Well considering that they are two TOTALLY diffrent shows in different genres its not really fair to compare them...

And btw is "AMC" has so little fans then why has it been on for 33 years? and Erica Kane is an icon as well... in 5 years ERICA KANE will still be causing trouble in Pine Valley and Buffy will still be canceled and its fans will move on to something else...

It teaches girls to fight back. I ,myself, am not a girl, but I have cousins (whom I love very much) that ARE girls. I also have girl friend. That show entends to tell girls (and I guess boys) to stand up and fight. Not take any crap from people.

Where in the world did you get that Erica Kane was the most famous Soap Character in all of History. I'm sorry but that's not true. Erica is famous sure, but Marlena Evans Black is not just some character that no one knows. Sarah's career isn't over, who knows what Sarah could be doing in the next few years, she could be the highest paid actress in Hollywood, and win 5 Oscars. Susan on the other hand, I think is pretty much, settled into her role. She may win some more awards but you can't judge Sarah on what she has done so far, she hasn't even turned 30 yet. Susan has also been blessed with great writing for her character, which is a factor in her winning so many awards, there are better actresses out there that for the past few years, have gotten horrible writing therefore they haven't been given the chance to shine enough to be seen by the Emmy's. The fans see it but the Emmy committee doesn't. That is one factor in Susan winning so much. Susan will be remembered, of course, but Sarah will be remembered too, look at Barbara Eden, she is still remembered for I Dream of Jeannie, a show that only got medioker ratings, well Buffy got medioker ratings too so who's to say that Sarah won't be remembered. Anyway, all of what I've said is JMHO.

Yeah everyone knows that... BUT winning Emmys does not make her more famous or anything... and btw ONLY SUSAN can say that she has been nominated for 22 Daytime Emmys... I have to agree with this. I'm not a current daytime soap watcher - I only watch Dark Shadows and Ryan's Hope and those are dead - and even though I do know many actors/actresses that are on shows NOW, before I ever got into soaps I only knew one - Susan Lucci. I have to agree that she's the most famous soap actress. I don't know if her acting's any good since I've only seen bits and pieces of AMC and the other soaps, but she's probably the most recognizable soap star, IMO.
