most people on a first date are nervous so no it wouldnt be a turn off

I wouldn't be turned off, because to me that means the guy is concerned about making a good impression. If he wants to make one, then he most likely will.

nah, unless he was so nervous he couldnt talk or something, id say nervous would be a good thing because it means he actually cares how the date goes.

I wouldn't mind if a guy was nervous - that would be normal for a first date.If he wasn't nervous,he probably would be too arrogant to care what I thought.

Nope, it wouldn't bother me, I'd find it cute, actually, as long as he wasn't like that EVERY time he was around me, that'd be annoying, I went out with a guy once who was like that ALL THE TIME, finally I just had to break up with him.

I like when guys are nervous around me, because that usually means they like you, and it makes me feel less nervous.

To answer this, I first have to know how I found out he was nervous. Did he tell me? Because if he did, that would turn me off a little. That alone wouldn't mean no further dates, but it would lower my interest (unless, of course, my interest in him was so high to begin with). If a guy follows "The System" that I've talked about before, he would know NOT to tell his date he was nervous. I think that system is on the ball with a lot of things.

If the guy acted a little nervous though, and I picked up on it, that would be all right. Gotta cut the guy some slack. If he's REALLY nervous though (and this has never happened to me... yet), that would really turn me off. It would start making me nervous too!

If the female is not complienting me then I may become a little uncomfortable. I used to expect a compliment in the first 5 min of the date but i'm not arrogant like i was years ago.

I look for compliments about my physical appearance FIRST. then personality. And them i will compliment the female.

I don't think I've ever complimented a guy's looks to their face before... even if they were unbelievably hot. Well, I take that back. Once a guy had enough nerve to ask me what I thought of him. But you gotta back me into a corner before I start talking.

When guys comment on my looks I think I actually get slightly uncomfortable. Well, that's probably because other people are listening. If it's just him and me together, then that's cool.

Acutally, I take it back. I've been asked by guys a bunch of times what I thought of their looks. It was only the one time I told the truth. Guys shouldn't be asking that sort of thing when I've given them no reason to think I'm interested. They come off desperate.

I don't think it comes off as desperate, a guy may want to know if he is wasting his time. Why spent an entire date with a female if she is not attracted to him.

Yeah. In my last post, I meant that if I give him no reason to think I'm interested, he shouldn't be asking it "out of the blue." That means when we aren't already on a date, but at a party, or in a classroom or something. It's like they'll ask me that before that invite me out, just to see if I'm interested. I see that as desperation, because I'd rather they just ask me out first. If I decline, then they'll know.

I do see why a guy would still ask while on a date. But when he asks, what makes him think the girl will give him an honest answer? I just said in my last post that I lied to every guy who has asked me that, except for one. Plus I think, if a girl is dishonest enough to be out with the guy she isn't into, she may be dishonest enough to tell him she is attracted, when she's not. Only later, after emptying his pockets (maybe several times) does he find out she never liked him.

It's just a tough situation. I see why a guy would ask that whether they are on a date or not, but they still may get lies.

yea most people are nervous on a first date so i would wait and see if he is on the second one
