View Full Version : This IMO, is the WORST Three's Company Episode of All Time
TVFactFan 06-02-2003, 10:08 PM The Episode Bob & Carol & Larry & Terri. This episode sucks BIG time because up until this episode, Bob and Carol were never seen before. And it seemed like the entire episode revolved around those two characters that were not part of the show. PLEASE DON"T RECORD THIS EPISODE
maria1986 06-02-2003, 10:18 PM OMG I LOVED this episode....It was so funny when Larry and Janet were pretending the were French.....
I think the worst episode of all time was the one that Janet was not in......I forget what it is called(was it "Stanley's Hotline"?).... but it just shows that Janet could definally not be replaced....:)
alf8mycat 06-03-2003, 04:26 AM TV shows have always done that, introduce characters in that episode just for that episode and then they never show them again.
In cases where if it's a "special episode" about someone dying, then I don't expect that character to come back, honestly.
Unwanted Angel 06-03-2003, 10:42 AM IMO the worst episode is Janet Wigs out, That wig was so ugly and it made Janet look funny.
Sean Snow 06-03-2003, 11:31 AM I like "Bob & Carol & Larry & Terri." Granted it's not the best episode, but I don't think it's too bad.
I don't really have a 'worst' episode; I think all the episodes were great. There are some I like less than the others, like "Roper's Niece."
I also like "Stanley's Hotline." I thought Anne Schedeen did a great job replacing Joyce DeWitt.
I have mixed feelings when it comes to "Janet's Wig." It's really outlandish. Janet wouldn't just get a big head from wearing a wig.

Yeah I hated that wig, it looked like some sort of a dead animal, she looks so much better with her natural hair color. The episode I hate is the one where Janet inherits a vase, I just didnt like that one at all for soem reason, maybe b-cuz Janet met her husbnd in it, but I just thought the episode was boring.
David 06-03-2003, 05:40 PM some i dont like are "the not so great imposter", "now you see it now you dont", and "jack goes the distance"... and also "love thy neighbor...
but i'll post my comments about the other ones:
Stanley's Hotline- I luv this episode, but it wouldve been better with joyce
Roper's Neice- Like it, not love it
Bob/Carol/Terri/Larry- Dont like it either, did absolutely nada for me... :(
Janet Wigs Out- A bit strange, it had its laughs, but its not like "WOW"

Another episode i refuse to record is the ne when Chrissy bumps her head in the bathtub. That episode is DRY
Unwanted Angel 06-03-2003, 06:07 PM The only thing i liked in Janet Wigs Out was that dress! WHOA BABY!!!! :eyes:

OMG lol, that's my favorite episode. I love the part where Mr. Furley overhears Chrissy and Jack in the bathtub, and Jack and Janet's reactions to Chrissy while she's in the hospital. Their expressions were priceless.
To each his own, I suppose.
DVDFreaker 06-04-2003, 12:13 PM I have to agree with you there, T.a.T.u Gurl18, that dress looks beautiful on Janet!

I think that may have been the worst "misunderstanding" episode of the whole series. Really dreadful. I can watch the epsiode, but that misunderstanding was WEAK.
As far as the first episode discussed on this thread, I don't think it was too bad tha we never heard about the character's before. Dang... maybe I shouldn't even comment on it. It's hard for me to remember it. Oh well, I think I'll have this right: The new characters weren't good friends of anybody. The guy just happened to be someone Terri worked with. It REALLY bothers me when a show will introduce a character that is suppose to be a good friend of somebody. Lame, lame, lame, lame, lame.
Cashodeen 06-06-2003, 02:09 AM Now I have it! My least favorite episode is the one that Lucille Ball hosts--the recap episode (which is on now).
Edited: I know it shows some funny scenes, but I just cannot stand it when shows do these kinds of episodes.

HOLD THE PRESS! This Bob/Carol episode is not the one where Janet and Larry pretend to be a french married couple, like I previously thought. How come nobody corrected me? Here I said it is lame when a show introduces friends of the characters that we've never heard of before, and this episode does just that! Shows how much people pay attention to my posts.

The episode Bob and Carol and Larry and Terri does not come on N@N until July 21st.
Unwanted Angel 06-13-2003, 06:02 PM I just thought of another episode i think is stupid... The one where Janet's friend Randy Buckly Comes to visit. Its so dumb that i never watch it. Why didn't Janet tell Jack first off that she was married? That was a stupid thing to do.

Yeah, I couldn't remember the episode at all, so when I read your post about them speaking french I thought it was the same episode too! I like that one, but this bob and carol one is not good. As I was watching it on N@N last night, I typed that last post.

LOL! Yesterday wasn't the first time I've seen that episode. It was just SOOO bad I tried to block it out of my mind. Actually, it may have been the worst misunderstanding episode--not the Chrissy/Concussion one.

You need to watch that episode again. Janet's friend didn't mention she was married until janet asked her So are you Jack getting serious? And then her friend said No i don't think my husband would like that very much. And that's when Janet asked Jack what he thinks about it and Jack was talking about her monkey. Jack didn't know about the husband until he came to the apt. When was the last time you watched this episode? 1990?

No! FYI I watched it last night..I just forgot that Janet told Jack and he thought she was talking about the monkey. But i still think this episode is dumb.
Whoever said that they don't like "The Heiress" I just have to say that I agree partly with you. The fact that Janet meets Philip in it makes me agitated, but at the will reading when they were reading the will, that old lady was crying when the man read what the deceased left for his nieces and nephews, but when the will reader got to the part where he reads what was left for the old lady, the old lady stops crying instantly and she sits there, focused on the man reading the will. The look on her face right there was just so damn hilarious!!!!! And then the part when the reader says "and to Janet Wood..." and Jack jumps up and says "This is it!!" I also liked the part where Jack and Janet were piecing together the vase and Jack said "Look, Janet, it's a ginuine Wan Tai" but then they switched the pieces and Janet says "Taiwan?" That's one of the few last season episodes I like.
About "Chrissy's Hospitality," I love that episode! It is filled with misunderstandings and they are so funny! I like the shower curtain one. Chrissy says "It can't reach!" and Jack says "You have to unfold it first!" omg the reaction on RF's face was worth a million. And in the hospital when Jack and Janet ask Chrissy when she should be leaving, as in dying, Chrissy says "Oh, around noon..." that episode is down right funny!
cowgirl55 06-16-2003, 11:39 AM one of the funniest episodes to me was Jack the Ripper, i thought it was hilarious!!! :D
another, my absolute favorit, and i cant remember the name of the episode ( i think its A Night not to Remember--does that sound right?) when jack gets drunk and starts tossing janets vase around. i love that ep!
i also thought Chrissys Hospitality was good. Sure it was such a simple misunderstanding, but as someone else mentioned, it was Furleys expressions and actions that made that ep so funny.
one episode i cant stand, is Ropers neice.

I don't like that episode either. "Ropers' Neice" and "Jack and the Giant Killer" are my least two favorite episodes from season one.
Janet Tripper 09-26-2003, 11:55 PM Chrissy's Night Out- Where a cop mistakes Chrissy for a hooker! I really don't like it at all! Its kinda dumb to me! I think its b/c Jack and Janet act more like her parents then her friends! That really didn't make the show funny!
beckyc 09-27-2003, 12:17 AM how come not a lot of people like "Roper's Niece"? I thought it was funny...
and i don't like the one where jack and larry go to like a charity event or something and they think that they are playing for real money..........and i don't like the one where the guy thinks chrissy's a prostitute...that's all i can think of.
WeMissTripper 09-27-2003, 11:12 PM the episode with the ice skating and jewels was bad, although its been years since i saw it.
Janet Tripper 09-27-2003, 11:47 PM I got to see Roper's Niece when N@N did the Tribute for John! and i liked it too! and I agree w/ beckyc I don't think that episode was that good either, the funniest part to me was when that lady comes into the apt. and Jack tells her that Janet and Terry are renting from him! but that was all!

HUH?? That was extremely funnny. Jack was at the skating rink and then they came to the apt o get money. I really don't know what you mean.
AngelofLaughter 09-28-2003, 05:53 PM My favorite of ALL TIME episode is the one where Jack and Janet think Chrissy is dying. OMG I was on the floor laughing. Their expressions when they're listening to chrissy and the doctor talk! Another VERY funny episode is "Up in the Air". I wish N@N didnt cut it up. But its so funny when he has the plant on his head. JEEZE!! FUNNIEST SHOW EVER! I seriously almost pee my pants when I watch it. I think the show got a little less funny with the oncoming of Terri, even tho i heart her too.
Janet Tripper 12-30-2003, 04:37 AM I think that in the seasons when Chrissy was around it was Chrissy's Night Out (<<It's my least fav). During the Cindy seasons-I can't remeber the name but its the one where she gets fire because she was typing something for Jack and she gets her job at the end of the show, and when Terri was there I really didn't like the one about the Nun coming to visit Terri and Jack thinks she is going to give up being a Nun for him!

Chain Gang Member 01-19-2004, 10:06 AM I didn't see all of Love Thy Neighbor but what I saw was halarious.Chrissy waits for Jack then starts showing that he was still attractive and he says "when I came home, all I wanted was a tunafish sandwich".Then Janet walks by and then comes out of the kitchen finding out was going on then they comfort him when Lana comes in and he says "This is Janet & Chrissy my real roomates.Larry lives up stairs and he's not gay and I'm not gay and I'm going to get a tunafish sandwich"
