After Rose goes on about the "killers" coming while they were home, Dorothy returns and explains the robbers took her mink stole. So Blanche returns from the kitchen with flour all over her, here is the text that appears in the Lifetime version:

BLANCHE: They got my jewels.
DOROTHY: Why did you hide your jewels in the flour?

Here is how it appeared on the original NBC version

BLANCHE: They got my jewels.
DOROTHY: (Noticing the flour) But I see they didn't get your cocaine.
ROSE: Oh my god, Blanche has cocaine!?
BLANCHE: This is flour. I hid my jewels in the flour.
DOROTHY: Why did you hide your jewels in the flour?

The cocaine sentence does appear sort of out of place. I have to re-watch the uncut episode, but that's the gist of it. Just thought I'd point it out, lol.

I also think Lifetime cuts out a funny scene in the episode where Rose/Sophia and Dorothy/Blanche bowl against each other. I have to re-watch that too.

I just think it's interesting to figure out what networks cut out from the original broadcast.

EDITED: All fixed.

Ignore my first post for a minute; I just re-watched the scene and there are a few added lines I forgot.

BRB, lol.

EDITED: Okay, all fixed.

Interesting.

I think they sometimes do it to slip in more commercials, too. But, I've definitely noticed some content editing (such as the "cocaine" reference - a damn funny joke!), too.

Oh well.

What is interesting is that I taped these episodes 10 years ago, and they were still syndicated, but they are different versions than that of Lifetime's, so if I spliced the two together I would probably have the whole episode. LOL.

Rose, do you think I could buy some of your golden girls vhs that you've recorded??
