Paramount is preparing to announce the DVD release of C.S.I. - The Complete 2nd Season. No date or details are available quite yet, but they have made the cover art available. For those curious, Paramount has already stated publicly that this release will be in widescreen...check back with us for more information.

We're back with more details about C.S.I. - The Complete 2nd Season, coming soon from Paramount. Like the Season 1 (http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/releaseinfo.cfm?ReleaseID=2239) release, this is a 6-Disc, 23-episode box set with a 17-hour running time, presented in Dolby Stereo.

Unlike the previous release, this one is confirmed to be in anamorphic widescreen.

The "Who Are You?" theme song by The Who is definately back, as is a host of extras to accompany these episodes:

Alliance Atlantis will release the second season of C.S.I. on September 2nd. Unlike the studio's release of the first season, season 2 will come in one set instead of two. When asked about the transfer used for the discs, the Alliance Atlantis rep confirmed that they will be the same as the US set distributed by Paramount Home Entertainment. There's still no word on a release date for the US set, but we expect it soon.
