Which do you like her in the best pigtails braided or just plain? I personally think she looks best in plain pigtails.

But the braids violate the theme song ("The youngest one in CURLS").

Yes, that's what I say. I've heard people say that the ends of her braids have curls though, and it stays consistant with the song. But I think that's a stretch!

I kind of like the "Nellie Olson" hairdo she had on the last few episodes of the last season.

Both hairstyles looked great on Susan, but I really liked her best in Season 1, 2 & 3 with curls!

You wanted it, I've got it:

GAWD, but I'm gettin' good with this digital retouchin'!

I think they should all have the "Midnight Temptress" wig from "Will the Real Jan Brady Stand Up?"

Oh, I know you guys are gonna hate me for this, but I think it's worth mentioning in light of how fashions change and how, as we age, our sense of the passage of time becomes distorted.

So here goes:

Ann "Alice" B. Davis, born 1926, was 43 years old in 1969 when she debuted as the lovable Brady maid.

Susan "Cindy" Olsen, born 1961, is now 45 years old.

Scary, huh?

But Susan Olsen looks younger. Decades ago, the women looked very matronly for their age.

Yes, very true!

And of course, if Cindy is two years older than Alice was when the B.B. started, that would make Marcia about 7 or so years older than Alice was (I'm not gonna look up her age at this time, I'm feeling lazy today)..and we've all seen how Maureen looks today...

My earlier comment was more along the lines of "wow, we're all getting up there" (at least those of us who remember the show in its original run)...

But you're so right about the way women in their 40s and 50s looked back in the 1960s and they way today's women in that age group look ... it's like night and day... it's getting so it's impossible to guess a woman's age any more! :)

Which is why, I, a 37 year old, looks this good:

i dont like the braids

She didn't like them either, because they were making her hair fall out!

Really tight hairstyles like that can cause temporarily hair loss. The hair grows back, but try telling that to a 12 year old!
