Why don't you try limiting the space and number of attachments. Some of the messages have huge pictures and lots of other "Stuff" attached. Just limit the additions to one per person.

TJ 05-30-2003, 04:35 PM The thing is the costs would be the same with or without the signatures, the server is a set deal. All I'm saying is that if you enjoy the community and visiting the boards and you are able to, please make a donation. If everybody donated a few dollars, the boards would be well off for months. Brad Russ 05-31-2003, 12:38 AM I think it's a great idea. Most websites would just start charging people, or disappear one day without any notice if they were having financial problems. Personally I don't see anything wrong with TJ asking for donations. It costs him over a thousand bucks a month to keep these boards going, so I think giving a donation is the least we can do as a thank you for the time, and money he puts into it. I know I will be sending in a donation when I get some money together. I have seen three of my favorite websites disappear in the last 6 months, and I'd hate to see that happen here as well, so hopefully everyone who can afford it will make a donation or two as well. |
