Hey I'm new on this message board although I've been following it for some time. I was wondering if a network were to do a show that was the "New Facts of Life" would it be successful? I would love it to be, but I think it wouldn't float because of how TV is now. What does everyone else think?

Would it be like Facts of Life grown up (like they would use the original cast members) or completely new Facts of Life (different cast members). I think if they could persuade the old cast members to do another series (which is probably impossible) then fans of FOL would watch it. If they were to bring in a new cast then I think it would depend on other viewers cause I think it would sort of be like when they remake old movies- I usually like the originals better. That's just my opinion- what does everyone else think?

I think I would probably watch it. I guess it would depend on who they had playing the parts. The Best thing I think they could do is have the original FOL cast on, but only as cameos. I really like the original cast, especially Lisa Whelchel, but it would be kinda weird if all 4 of them still weren't married and still lived together after all these years. It would be better if Blair, Jo, Natalie, and Tootie all got married and had girls of their own that all attended a girls school. Maybe even have Mrs. G's granddaughter in school with them.

considering they've done it before with Dragnet and WKRP in Cincinnati... I would LOVE to see a new FOL with at least most of the original cast (Charlotte, Lisa and Mindy would be the most likely) and what they're up to now. I think we would at least get occasional guest visits from Nancy and Kim tho I doubt they'd be regulars. I also think maybe a grown up Mackensie would be good as an occasional co-star (because he is CUTE now).

Oh well, keep dreaming, LOL. We're lucky if we get the promised tv movie

If they had the girls grown up with their girls attending the school that would be really cool. Of course this is all hypothetical but still it would be fun. And I really hope that the promised tv movie does come out. Will this petition actually convince the producers to not have Jo die? I don't want to sound like a pesimist (and I did sign the petition) but will it have any effect? I'm not trying to doubt anything I'm just wondering how the petition will go from here to the eyes of the producers (or Nancy Mckeon- isn't it her ultimate decision?)

I personally dont think taht the petition will help, i did sign it too, but i mean come on!! if the producers directors or whoever makes those desicions sees the petition dont you think theyll be like who cares i think this is the best way... i personally DONT think its the best way to have a reunion just a cry fest which is pretty big to me especially since last nights first part to the ep wheres mrs. g leaves... http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/frown.gif (sheds a tear) but i mean if that is how they want to catch viewers attention they'll probably stick to their guns if they want it bad enough.... but we'll see...!!!

I know- I mean I totally agree that they shouldn't make this something so very sad. Of course death does happen and with that motercycle its very possible though since Jo's my favorite character I am quite upset at the thought of having a ruinion without Jo. However I also don't like the replacing of people with others. Like someone else is playing tootie? I think what should happen is they should say well we're here but Tootie couldn't make it. Oh I just had an idea- I don't know if they are going to have any appearence of Jo -I mean they could easily just show a motercylcer in general wipe out and it is jo- but if they were to have a breif clip of jo in the beginning they could have it at the end instead. Like have the reunion and be like well Jo couldn't make it but in like the last five minutes she could make an enterance and they'd all be happy and they could end the movie after everyone got reaquainted. But that still wouldn't be as good as having her in the whole thing but its better than killing her. Of course if they are making the movie about each character dealing with her death than the way I've brought Jo in sort of ruins their plot- oh well. As if they'd be using my idea anyway. That's who they should kill off.I think that if Jo dies,that'll suck(She's the coolest), but if the writers make it good and funny, maybe it will turn out okay.

i think that if they were to do a show of the girls the way they are now,it wouldnt be as good because the FACTS centered around the girls in their teens and yearly 20;s in my opinion, those are probably the most exciting times in a life! but that's just what i feel! i think it would be cool if it were about the GIRL'S girls that now attended eastland and JO acctually did go into teaching, and she is teaching at eastland! and like nat would write their books and tootie would be like a part time DRAMA teacher at eastland while she is on break from her acting jobs, but if any of them have kids in the show, the girls should go to eastland and the boys would go to bates! i think that my mind just ran off on me and ive lost it, but i just got really into that! anyway, that is IMO!

Now I got a little confused with the second show that aired last night- they still showed Mrs G in the credits and not Beverly Ann. Plus they were saying Mrs. G could come home at any minute. ITA. I mean I think that if Nancy would make a short appearance have everyone believe that she can't come- then at the end the front door opens and she is like guess who's back or something of that sort. I mean it can consist of like ten minutes and it ends after everyone gives hugs and says hi. I understand death is a part of the world but that's why they had situations covering it in the show- this movie is a one shot deal- I think they should make it happy!

Hey everyone!!!! I'm new here and I just started watching FOL not too long ago and I think it's a cool show. I watched them when I was young ,but didn't remember. I think it's a great idea to make a new FOl. In fact, I could be on it and play a hillbilly girl or something.....lol I also know a girl who acts just like Blair and resembles her a little....She even has the same laugh and it sorta scares me. Anyway, I would love to be on tv.People probably wouldn't like it, but it might be worth a shot. It could be like Facts of Life 2000 or something. Well, let me know what you think....
