Brad Russ 05-31-2003, 12:49 AM I'm going with the Spurs in 6. Hopefully them winning the title this year will shut all those people up who called 1999's title win a fluke. It wasn't a fluke then, and it most definitely wont be a fluke this time.

I can't wait till WEDNESDAY GO SPURS GO
isiahthomas 06-02-2003, 04:41 PM I'm very happy for Stephen Jackson cause he's been through a lot & he's only 25. He's played overseas, he's played in the CBA, he's been cut by Phoenix Suns & New Jersey Nets cut him after one season. Byron Scott dogged him to the media some yrs back saying if he would've hung around in Jersey, he wouldn't have made the rotation. Byron said some harsh words. Now Byron told the media recently that he's happy Stephen is in the finals. Stephen said he doesn't know if Byron is sincere. I was gonna go with the Nets to win but i hope the Spurs beat them cause it will make Byron look stupid that Stephen's team came out on top. Stephen is a good player & i like him. He also gives back to his community in Port Arthur, Texas when he has time which is good. If the Spurs win, this would also be good for David Robinson cause he'll be going out a championship winner since he'll be retiring after this season. I'm a David Robinson fan but i'm just mad at him cause he stopped scoring a lot like he used to ever since Tim Duncan came there. Don't tell me it got to do with age cause he stopped scoring a lot cause if Jordan & Karl Malone can still put up a lot of points at their age, so can David.
Xxshelly06xX 06-02-2003, 07:11 PM i was hoping that the nets would loose. i hate them faithfully with all my heart n soul as ne true new englander does.

Lisa Marie Presley was lipsinking last night... But I still love that song "Sinking In"
MonarC 06-05-2003, 12:51 PM Tim Duncan MVP 2 years in a row gets recognition
http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/features/cover/cover0609.jpg
Brad Russ 06-06-2003, 05:40 AM Tim Duncan certainly was incredible. Along with his 32 points he also had 20 rebounds, and 6 blocked shots. I believe he also had a bunch of assists. Tim just proved once again to all the doubters exactly why he is MVP! Unless the Nets can find some way to contain Tim, they don't stand a chance.
MonarC 06-06-2003, 10:06 AM YEAH:clap:
 GO SPURS GO
They play tonight again at 7:30 8:30 eastern
MonarC 06-10-2003, 03:19 PM See since they won the last game not a word from Solomon i wonder why
isiahthomas 06-11-2003, 11:45 PM Well Monarc your Spurs lost tonight & i hope they lose the series so u can shut the hell up about the Spurs. U come in here everyday & say something about them. Do u have a life outside the internet? Probably not LOL. Anyway i just wanna laugh at Kevin Willis for getting dunked on tonight by Richard Jefferson hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. Richard posterized Kevin LOL. There were a couple of fights that almost happened tonight too. Kevin & Dikembe got into it, Rodney Rogers almost got into it with Tim Duncan & Kevin Willis punched Kenyon Martin in the stomach & walked away when they were tied up with the ball. LOL@Jason Kidd's son's head. The Spurs shooting was horrendous tonight. Steve Kerr should've taken the last shot at the end tonight instead of Ginobili or Danny Ferry could've taken the shot. Ferry was wide open. The Spurs better shoot better next game or it's lights out for them LOL. Tim Duncan tries to do too much. I was mad at him tonight taking too many bad shots & he's always trying to shoot the ball off the backboard.
KJH278 06-13-2003, 01:29 AM Nets in 6, Go Nets

Personally I don't mind MonarC sharing his love for the Spurs, if I did I just wouldn't read his posts. Anyway I am not looking at this series the same way as most people apparently. While most people seem to think the Spurs are in trouble, I believe the Nets are in trouble. I mean lets face it, the Spurs aren't going to shoot 28 percent everynight, but even if they did, I'd still like their chances against the Nets. I mean think about this, the Spurs shot a shockingly embarrassing 28 percent, and the Nets only won by one point. What does that say about New Jersey? I predict that the next game will be a blowout for the Spurs. I think the final score will be 103 to 88. Then I believe they will go home, and beat them in a close game, and take the series in 6. I'm sorry, I just can't see the Nets as Champions.

the Spurs moved one step closer to winning their
second NBA title with a 93-83 victory over New Jersey

On ABC's set, just to the left of the announcers, sat the most coveted trophy in all of basketball: the Larry O'Brien trophy, awarded to the winner of the NBA Finals. While no one hoisted it on Friday, the Spurs have a chance to grab their second trophy in five years on Sunday (8 ET, ABC).
MonarC 06-15-2003, 11:23 PM WOOOOOHOOOOOOO

2003 Spurs are the Champions!!!!!!

MonarC 06-15-2003, 11:37 PM Spurs Win NBA Title
Fueled by a 19-0 fourth-quarter scoring explosion the Spurs defeated the Nets 88-77 to win their second NBA Championship in five years. NBA Finals 2003 MVP Tim Duncan gave a performance for the ages, scoring 20 points to go with 20 rebounds, 10 assists and eight blocked shots

The Storybook Spurs!
San Antonio couldn't have hoped for a more exciting ending to a championship season, erupting with a 19-0 run in the fourth quarter to beat New Jersey 88-77 Sunday and win NBA Finals 2003 in six games. Finals MVP Tim Duncan finished two blocks shy of a quadruple-double and David Robinson posted 13 points and 17 rebounds in the final game of his career
AtlantaBravesFan29 06-15-2003, 11:57 PM Congratulations to our 2003 NBA Champions San Antonio Spurs!!!! Tim Duncan and David Robinson are the heroes of the day!!!
