Finally found a Lucy forum, and just wanted to introduce myself. (Hope I'm not being a bother in doing so).

I'm Matt, I'm 22 (I'm adorable, j/k) and I've been a fan since 1994. Not having cable has reduced me to desperation, forcing me to whip out my old video collection of Lucy stuff recorded rom Nick@Nite almost a decade ago, and once again it's got me hooked.

I've been flirting with the idea of buying the DVD's of "I Love Lucy", but I've thus far been hella unimpressed with the system by which they are being produced. For starters, knowing that I won't be able to own the entire series until I'm nearly 35 (?!?!) does not an appealing TV-on-DVD collecting exprerience make.

Then there's the issue of the unflattering cover "art" which I won't expand on because I sincerely do not want to harp (my first 2 posts have mentioned it, and I don't want to make a pest of meself).

WELCOME MATT, hey that sounds weird! Come over to the other Lucy sites too like Lucy Talk and Lucy in the classroom and Babalu's Lucy site and The I Love Lucille Ball forum. They are going to be bringing out the shows in season by season DVD's soon, so you won't have to wait till you're 35!

Also, can anyone link to actual info on the Season 1 DVD box? So far all I've heard of it was a thread on here, and I'm not saying the individual is lying, but it's very easy to make something up on a forum.

And, I just bought one of the Lucy DVDs. I bought volume 4 and I have already watched almost all of the episodes (one more to go!).

Can't give you any links, i wouldn't know how, but if you type in Lucyfan in search, the Lucille Ball one is number 7. Put down search for Babalu's :ucy Page and the Lucy classroom is called Lucy in the classroom and Lucy Talk is also easy to get to and so is the one we're on now. Matt, someone said they read it in TV Guide and i had already heard it from somebody else who knows his Lucy stuff, either Gregg Oppenheimer of Tom Watson, did you check out Tom's site also, Lucyfan Enterprises, but his message board ain't so hot, his site is the best though, as he knows where all the bodies are buried, he worked for Lucy at the end, and HE TOUCHED HER!
