LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - "The Division," Lifetime's flagship original series, has earned another season on the cable network.
The series, about a group of detectives in San Francisco, is currently winding down its third season. Lifetime has ordered 22 more episodes for next season, when it will continue to anchor the network's Sunday-night lineup of original series.
"'The Division' features compelling characters with a strong sense of duty who are deeply affected by the often senseless crimes they confront on a daily basis," says Barbara Fisher, executive vice president for entertainment at Lifetime. "Our viewers connect with this ... combination of strength and vulnerability."
Bonnie Bedelia ("Die Hard" ) and Nancy McKeon ("The Facts of Life") head the ensemble cast.
The show is consistently among the most-watched fare on the female-targeted network, drawing an audience of about 3 million viewers a week.
