Tony Danza is one of my favorite actors!! My friend Debbie is an actress in NYC. And she was in a small play with Tony.
We were invited to see her in the play and she promised to take us back stage to meet everyone. (expecially Tony Danza)!!
She had a small part as an old lady and next door neighbor to Tony's character.
I have a picture of myself n front on Tonys Dressing Room, they actually put a star on the door with their name on it. But, it was very dreary and dark in the halls. I guess a lot of the buildings in NY are like that because they are so old. You just expect it to be very glamorous for an actor.
Anyway, we did meet him and he was great, he teased my friend about her acting. But he wasn't too talkative.
Later when the plaly was over and we were leaving, Tony had his little daughter with him. He held her up for the crowd to see, but before that he said, "NO ONE IS TOO TAKE A PICTURE OF MY DAUGHTER OR ME"!! and you can tell he ment it. He had his security guards around him. I think he disappointed a lot of people. I can understand about his little girl, but he should have sent her back inside and let everyone take a picture of just him.
My friend said it was the best experience that she will never forget working with him. All the actors would have lunch together everyday including Tony Danza and at the end of the play, Tony gave each one a white bathrobe with their name on it.
I know that's one thing she will keep forever. And of course we each have tried it on.
