View Full Version : The Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour...episode ?
I was just wondering if anyone knew when some certain episodes will air. I am looking to tape the Tallulah Bankhead episode, "The Ricardo's Go to Japan", and "Lucy Meets the Moustache"...will these be airing anytime soon? I know I heard that this will be taken off TV Land by July, so hopefully they'll air these...thanks...
SPLAIN 05-29-2003, 10:15 AM That's funny, i read on another board that they were showing them in sequence in the States, which means you only have to keep track of the 13 eps and Tallulah is first and Moustache is last.

Go to the TVLand.com website, select shedules, then select by show. Click on The Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour and it will give you a 2 week schedule of when each episode will air. Hope that helps. Lolac
No, they are most definitely not showing them in sequence. One week was "Lucy Hunts Uranium" then next the Horse one (sorry, bad with titles on this show), the next Uranium again, then next Horse again. No kidding, I've seen the Horse episode at least twice in the past few months, and I always keep track of the episodes, and they're never the ones I want...
SPLAIN 05-30-2003, 10:01 AM That sounds like TV Land Canada, they are always showing the same ones over and over, it turns you off the show!
Mattress 05-30-2003, 11:31 AM Remember when Nick@Nite would run them in order over and over...for like 2 years I think...every 13th Sunday it was back to episode 1.
I assumed the 1995 VHS tapes were still in print, but noooo. I only bought the first one which seemed the most essential since it's the "prequel" to the entire I Love Lucy series.
2 days ago while pawnshopping for rare CD's (lol) I found episode 3 (Lucy Hunts Uranium), and I forgot how fun Ethel was when being bratty. They could have based a whole series around that.
SPLAIN 05-30-2003, 03:01 PM LOVE THAT PIC OF LUCY BY THE WAY, don't recall anybody else ever using that one and it's a dilly!
Hey! That's the same pic that's on the case of the "Lucy Show" DVD I just got!
Back to the topic...with the Bewitched & Jeannie marathons they won't be showing the Comedy Hour for a while...which means they'll probably only air 2-3 more episodes before taking it off...wish they'd run this more often...
Also, just a note...most people probably know this, but "Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour" is not the original name of this series...it's "The Lucille Ball-Desi Arnaz Show"...
Does anyone know about the episodes in the next few weeks? I'm not lazy or anything, but I have a slllooowww dial-up connection and the TV Land website takes me forever...someone with cable should be able to check on it in a second...I'd appreciate it!

I'm sorry, but I don't think you will be able to see both of those episodes, because TV Land is changing the "Better Living Through Television" schedule because the new schedule is starting on June 30th and The Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour is not included in the block. TV Land will air episode #9 "Lucy Wants A Career" this Sunday and they won't be able to get to the last two episodes "The Ricardos Go to Japan" and "Lucy Meets the Moustache" at the end of this rotation.

Aw, that sucks. I slept late today and didn't even get to watch it, but luckily it wasn't one I wanted. But, hopefully, they'll run these again...:(
