I was walking away from my tv during a commercial tonight, when I heard a familiar tune. www.expedia.com is using the DVD theme song in a new commercial which shows the problems that a woman imagines in putting up her somewhat elderly parents at a modern hotel. Among other mishaps, her dad falls backward over an ottoman, so that's probably what inspired the ad's creators to use the DVD theme song.

I saw this a couple weeks ago. It was rather late at night, LOL so I didn't even recognize it right away! I was like, "That sounds familiar...OMG, it's the DVD theme!!" And the guy falling out of the chair was timed perfectly for when Rob tripped over the ottoman of course!

I haven't seen it, but I was in the computer room and I heard it, a few days ago! It was on the tv in my parents' room.

quite a surprise - i never thought Earle Hagen wanted to licence the theme for other purposes.

I know this post is old, but I just saw this commercial for the first time tonight. I'm not sure if it's because it hasn't played here before, or if it has to do with the fact that I've had no time to watch TV in months.

Anyway, my roommate had the TV on and I was in the other room when I heard that familar song. I wondered if that meant she had turned DVD on, but instead it was the commercial. I thought it was pretty funny. I love the man tripping over the chair!
