I was just wondering...does anyone have more info about this show, or tapes of it? I think it would be cool to see. One last hurrah with all the Lucy regulars. It's oft-documented in many Lucy books, but I'd still like more details. What was Vivian's characters name? What were the other characters names? I only know that Lucy was Lucy Whittaker, and the plot and that's basically it....anyone?

Mary Wickes and Mary Jane Croft were on there too, as were Gale and Viv and Ed McMahon playing Lucy's hubby and Steve Allen and Mill Lillian, Carter's mother had cameos. Viv died two years later an the whole group was never again together.

It's a very funny special with the whole gang doing what they did best all those 23 years.

I remember watching this one shot special when it aired in the 70's. I don't know if it's for sale currently.

Lucy's last name was Whitaker. I think Ed McMahon played her husband. I remember she made peanut brittle to serve Jimmy Carter when he came to visit, but broke her tooth on it. When Miss Lillian Carter called she commented "and they say WE talk funny".

Vivian Vance played her neighbor. All I remember is that she kept eating the deviled eggs that Lucy made for the president. Lucy had made one for each state and Viv ate "Kansas".

You DO have a good memory but Viv only ate one, Kansas like you said. And it wasn't Lucy who made them, it was Mary Wickes, i saw it today!

Look, if it upsets the owners and moderators here, PM me about that, Lucy Talk is another board like this one, but it focuses just on Lucy and HER shows. As for EmpireMedia's Michael Cordero, he has the greatest collection that he can make you copies of most of her stuff, he has her talk show appearances and Life with Lucy and her early stuff on other people's shows, and her specials and so much more, he can send you a list, it's awesome, but they are copies, remember that, sometimes the picture isn't the clearest. He even has that famous Life with Lucy wrap party!
