I'm currently taping all the eps i had missed when the run of cheers was goin on. When I watch again afterward. I realize that for some reason the show looks kind of sketchy. Like a little fuzzier than it used to be. This maybe kind of hard to answer considering if you watch the dvd and then go watch nick@nite. The dvd is so nice! I can't wait till season 2! maybe an interview with George Wendt!! but they would probably do one with shelley. Ok n/m that. Has anyone noticed this?

steve, i just saw (well an hour and a half ago) Cheers on Nick@Nite and it does look HORRIBLE on there. The dvd is soooo incredibly clear! Not even the shows on today are as clear.

Midnight Lace you are not alone. I also didn't buy the Cheers box set. I bought Frasier instead. I figure why spend $40.00 on a dvd set when I have more than half the episodes already. I have the feeling they will be airing Season 1 again and I can get the ones I don't have already.
I have the hole series taped just about. I still bought em.:)

What worked out really nicely was last summer when they aired Nick At Nite's Summer Camp, they aired Cheers in somewhat the same manner that they will be this year, I remember Diane episodes one nite, rebecca the 2nd and the 3rd nite would switch back and forth depending which week it was. They showed all the shows in perfect order, except I think they left out the Christmas and Thanksgiving episodes, so it was really easy to tape, I would buy an 8 hour tape and since the shows are in blocks of 4 hours, after two nights the tape would be filled in order. Thats how Igot the whole set on tape. The DVD's are great, but if you dont have the money for that, you could spend prolly the same amount on a set of 8hour tapes and get the series that way.
I did buy the DVD's though, and I was so impressed by the picture quality. I also was glad to see the "cut" scenes, that we've been missing out on due to syndication.
