Can that many people be watching the cosby show? Really? i mean i've never seen a network push a show like that before in my life! How good are the ratings that are making Cosby@Nite put on Cosby so much? Or is it that the ratings are going down and they are trying to bring them up? im sorry i just cannot believe that many people are watching cosby...

yea steve, he did this whole thing on how "The Osbournes" were such a disfunctional family and that they shouldn't be tv...etc etc..bla bla bla and basically just insulted them. Sharon Fought back! (go sharon!) by writing him a nasty letter.

I dont believe that the damn show could be so popular, but there's got to be a good reason for its marathons every 3 weeks. Maybe when I'm done here I'll check those boards or something to see what the bigdeal is.

Believe me when I say that I hate The Cosby Show more than any of you!!!!! Prime(the network in Canada that used to show Cheers) took Cheers off the air completly for the Cosby Show so I hate it even more!!!:mad: :mad: :mad: :mad:

Believe it or not, I used to like the Cosby show before it came to N@N...now I hate it!

Maybe if we all started to watch Cosby Show they would take it off the air. This has happened to me plenty of times whenever I start to get into a show, they either pull it or yank it from syndication.

As much as I hate The Cosby Show we do owe it alot. I mean if it wasn't for The Cosby Show Cheers probably would have been cancelled. Cheers didn't start do have good ratings untill it followed The Cosby Show.

yes but that was 19 or 18 years ago! The Exploitation of the Cosby show by Nick @ Nite is right now. and maybe we do owe that to the cosby show, but we DON't owe anything to Nick@Nite or its network. 4 hours a day plus weekly Marathons is a little to much of ANY show.

Like I posted before, I checked out the Cosby boards today, and it appeared that even the people who post there realize it's on too much. There was one thread about a dvd (HAHA we got them FIRST!!!!) and i think some people who responded to that were like as much as N@N plays it, they dont need a DVD.
And I really dont think Cheers fans owe much to Cosby. I know I 've heard the reasons why a million times, but I would never watch a show based on what else was on the same night or whatever. I mean I'm a big Friends fan, but I don't watch Will & Grace, the fact that they're on the same night, or after each other or whatever means nothing to me. I wouldn't know, cuz I was only like 1 at the time, but I'm hoping there was more to play into Cheers' success besides Cosby, because I quite frankly hate cosby.

I used to like Cosby, too. But it's on so much on N@N they go through the entire series in warp speed. N@N needs to cut down on Cosby and stop making last minute schedule changes. I mean, if viewers are tuning in for Cheers or Wings and they see Cos dancing around wearing a freaky sweater, they going to be pissed.

I wonder if the people of N@N hate Cheers? Maybe thats why they show Cosby. And they think they're going to get a DVD of that cr@p! Man I'll give them a DVD of me dancing around for 20mins straight.

AHA! COSBY doesn't have its own "central" like theres Cheers Central and Golden girls central but no Cosby central. AND the boards for cosby are relatively empty. And i saw one person ask for the DVD and there all like "what?! you want the DvD even as much as Nick@Nite plays cosby?" hehe...so even the cosby fans are starting to get sick of it.....:D

Supposedly since acquiring the CS on N@N last year they're ratings have gone up alot. That I could believe at first, but I think it's gonna hurt them in the long run. I also read at the TV Land board that Cosby owns stock in the Co. that owns N@N and TV Land, so you put it together. As much money as Bill Cosby has he should start his own network. I was a CS fan before N@N but now I cannot stand the show anymore :mad:
