In 1967 Hanna-Barbera, RKO, and Jomar Studios made a syndicatewd 156-episode animated series with Bud Abbott's 9as himself natch) voice of this show. Stan Irwin was the comedian who could be heard as Lou Costello.

The show was one of the earlier HB show to use the fully developed (from sound effects libraries of earlier studios0 H-B cartoon sound sf such as the metellac BONG heard at the end of the onscreen titles, a splat, the wheehweeeh, a electronic vibrating sound, most of them then new to HB but soon to be standard issue with them.

Yeah, I remember watching this when I was a kid. Channel 11 used to show reruns.

It wasn't the same with someone else doing Lou Costello...
