my happy story:

I was at a drama festival last Friday w/ my high school drama guild. So Im walking in and see a big sign that Eddie Mekka is going to be there in a few weeks (Bucks County Playhouse in case anyone is nearby and interested!) and is starring in Fiddler on the Roof. So im really excited and all but thats a few weeks away, so I go in and we have the competition and go to dinner and shopping and that night we come back for this show.

The theater owner introduces the show and says "and we have Eddie Mekka *points to balcony* i look up and "OMG ITS EDDIE MEKKA IN THE BALCONY" i start clapping and screaming and of course im in an audience of high school students who are thinking "who is that old guy?" so Eddie kind of looks at me and smiles. *faints*

What are the odds, I had no idea he would be there but it was insanely awesome!

And I'm going to see him in a few weeks when he's actually IN the show.. :D :D :)

OMG! :D That is awesome! You'll be on cloud 9 for a long time I bet. I sure would be..

The show was awesome- he made a great Tevye- at one point he said "Theres an old proverb that goes- schlemiel, schlamazel..."

Since it was the final show he gave a speach after where he explained "Schlemiel and Schlamazel are really Yiddish words for two losers- Schlemiel is the suicidal one jumping off the building and Schlamazel is the poor schmuk that he lands on- CRASH!"

STAGE DOOR! I waited, and waited. I had a birthday card for him since it was yesterday.
So he comes out and signs some autographs, then i give him his card, he reads it and thanks me, then signs my program ("to caroline, love eddie") then he asks me to kiss him on the cheek and i did (*screams*)


AHHHHHH!!!! i put a mark of nail polish on the pen he wrote w/ and I'm still going crazy!! He's sooooo nice!

(oh! and i met this lady in the lobby was talking to us and my mother told her that "she was the one at the drama competition who screamed when mr. mekka was introduced.." the lady's eyes lit up and shes like "my children are in the show and they came home talking about that! eddie was raving about this one girl who screamed and applauded" :lol: what a rep to have... )

Oh, wow, you are so lucky! You must have a permanent smile on your face right now! I'm so happy for you! :)
