a air conditioner? I usually find it hard to visit a female if she has no airconditioner because it EXTREMELY uncomfortable. So i would rather her come to me. No point in two people being uncomfortable. Anyone else feel the same?

It was 2 females. I just remember being very hot and uncomfortable. It was no way i could have watch an entire movie in that type of situation.

Question: What does "dating" have to do with it?

Lack of air conditioning in an uncomfortably hot environment can be a reasonable deterrent to visiting anyone. The purpose for the visit is immaterial.

But also, other concerns could be:
1) Mode of transportation or distance ~~ Would either one of you have to travel for an hour on a bus for instance, while the other person could travel by car?
2) Comfort/discomfort of the other person. ~~ Does the other person get cold easily? Does s/he have a bad reaction to the forced air of air conditioning or to Freon?

Would a fan work?

It's all a matter of compromise, isn't it?

Well that's why i would usually suggest me and her come to my place where there is AC. A fan is pointless. I think a fan is mainly for warm weather, not HOT weather.

i dont know how someone could live w/out AC...but if its only for a few days or something, pack a fan (or a window AC) and go.

(and may i point out that movie theaters are air conditioned)

I agree. Actually, I live in a moderate environment where really hot weather is rare. I hate hot, hot weather. But some people, myself included, do have some problems with air conditioning. It makes my sinuses go haywire.

But if it is not a major problem for me to get to the other person's place, yeah you bet, I'd rather be in an air conditioned room than sweltering in a room with no A/C.

I don't have or want AC. I get cold easily and I hate being cold more than anything... which sucks for me since I live in Wisconsin. *shrugs*

If I really like the person I don't mind. My sister doesn't have AC and I visit her so it really doesn't matter. I've been lucky this year so far though because the weather here has been pretty mild. This time of year it is usually real hot.

I'd just have to suffer. I love air conditioners and fans and anything that makes the hot turn cool. If it were really, really, really hot and the person didn't have an ac or a fan, anything like that, I'd just go to a sink and splatter water on me. Not drown myself, but just a little bit of water. It beats sweating to death.

I would break up with her.

Humidity and romance just don't mix.

Although you could agree to meet in a mutual place, like a nice cool multiplex, or the frozen food section of the Supermarket. Bring along a shopping cart and hope they're passing out free samples.

You are right about that. Humidity and Romance is not a good combination.

I beg to differ. Hot and Humid = "It's sooo hot, let me take off my shirt."

Don't see why any guys have a problem with that. ;)

I have it on good authority that the above scenario cannot, has not, and will never happen to any male.
And if they say it does, they are lying.

lol I can picture the frozen food idea in my head. Bring along those beach chairs and a couple could camp out in the frozen food department.
