Howdy all :) Anybody have any tips for buying a new A/C? Which brands are worthwhile? Does an energystar appliance make a significant difference to your electric bill? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

It would be in your best interest to buy an air conditoiner with a high energystar rating. (I think a 10 is the best rating)
I have a tiny Goldstar model in my bedroom and it is has never let me down.
Check out Consumer Reports. They usually have the best reviews.

I'd love one but I would have to not only BUY one but I'd have to pay an additional $40 per month in my rent just to use it. Not worth it. :(
