I left school 3 years ago yet it feels like a lifetime!
Since I left I've spent almost 2000 days of my life sat behind a desk in a crappy little office in a crappy little town.
You all say you "can't wait to graduate" and maybe you'll have fun at university or college for a few years but don't try and fool yourselves:
Sooner or later you will all end up stuck behind a desk like me and you'll all wonder what the f*cking point of it all was.......

It's been 12 years since I've been out but to me it doesn't seem like that long. It's hard to believe that I'm in my 30's now. When I was in school 30 seemed so old. Sometimes I wonder where the time went.

Sometimes I wonder where the time went. thats how I feel to and it doesnt help when your 13 year old niece tells you you're old BUT THEN again she also treats me like i'm her 18 year old sister so i still feel young even though i'll be 31 this year

It's been 32 years, since I sat at my graduation ceremonies. It doesn't really seem like that long. I remember high school pretty clearly. I had fun there.

At our graduation ceremonies, we got to walk across this podium and shake hands with the principal and the superintendant of schools. A few days after graduation, I was at a former classmate's house and told him jokingly that I would have liked to have one of those novelty store joy buzzers concealed in my hand when I shook hands with the VIPs on the stage. In reality, you couldn't have paid me enough to do something like that. However, my friend's little brother, who was a year younger, was in the room when I said this, seemingly ignoring us, but a year later, my friend reported to me that at his graduation, his little brother actually did it.
