I seem to remember that Nancy McKeon kept asking the producers if she could wear her hair out of the ponytail and they finally relented in one of the later seasons. Which season was it?

She started putting her hair down in the 6th
season. 84-85'.

WOW! I didn't know she PREFERED to have her hair down! That's weird! I did happen to notice that like the last few eps before she let her hair down it was already cut she just threw it in a pony tail.
