Even though this happened in the fall of 2002, and is therefore old news, a young couple has pled guilty to the slayings of Janice Owen and her young daughter Alyssa. (The victims were murdered in Missouri in early 2002.) The culprits are Eric Mize and his wife Angela Mize. They were each given life sentences.

Unsolved Mysteries first ran a segment on the case in the summer of 2002, six or seven months after the murders took place.
