My computer suddenly freezes and while i am on the YAHOO site in the search box these words keep typing over and over again automatically I am not typing anything

this keeps typing over and over in the search box

this was really weird, any thought how or WHY?

Woah. Are you sure you're not doing it somehow? Because you could have a Virus, sometimes hackers can take control of everything on your computer. I'm not saying you have one but you could. Maybe you should run a Virus Scan. Does it only happen on that pirticular site? Or has it only happened once?

It sounds like a virus. Run a scan and see what comes up.

Weird. It is probably a virus, but I've never heard of that one before.

:lol: Whoa! That is strange. Maybe your computer is posessed or perhaps a ghost is living in your house and typing that message to tell you something. ;) I don't know maybe it's just a virus.

Looks like you may have a hacker. Maybe the song you Downloaded had a virus in it? Better run a Virus Scan ASAP.

if the song plays then I don't think it can have a virus since its a legit MP3 And not a file made to look like an MP3..


as far as the typing... do you have a microphone or those types of software that turns what you say into text? Perhaps Its picking stuff like that up, Or Yes it could be a virus or a hacker (Though I doubt that)

I don't think it would be spyware even though you probably have some on your computer... Not any spyware I know of would do that and if it did... it would probably go under the category of a virus,

Actully well the computer freezing could be a sign of a virus...

Any other weird things your computer is doing? Strange popup boxes?

I think it could be a hacker. If you have anything on your computer that requires a password, don't make it the same for your internet access, board passwords, etc. Yes it's convenient but if a hacker got into your system it would cause a whole lot of trouble for you.

I remember reading about an incident a few years ago on the FOL board in which someone complained that someone was using her name or something like that and that somebody put Lisa Whelchel info on her AOL profile. Anybody remember or hear about that?

Im still a little skeptical on it being a hacker... I guess its possible, Im not sure if big name backdoor trojans can do that such as subseven, netbus... Norton should detect both of those, Besides you gotta know there IP addy and if it changes everytime they connect (If they are on AOL it should change each time), then thatd make it a lot harder,
