I'm on line at the super market & I see the taboid newspapers & one of them (I dunno- like, The Enquirer or The Star or something- they're all the same) & the headline says:

SANTA DID IT!

Sad part is, they're people out there that'll believe that...

I saw it too, and started laughing my butt off. Whats next? The tooth fairy is a serial killer?

Ugh that's just sick. I hate it when crap like that gets printed.

The Jon Benet Ramsey murder was an awful tragedy and should never be treated as anything else. To make a joke out of it is disgusting...then again what more can one expect from those newspaper?

Thats just sick that people can make this kind of stuff, and the fact that it actually gets printed and sold to America is terrible.:o

Thing is- America is buying these papers...But I'd *like* to think it's mainly trailer trash & the dumber city dwellers. Who knows? I know *I* don't buy em...

I gotta admit, though I did chuckle & shake my head at it. We oughta start our our own Fake Headline Thread! :) Anything would be fair game & it'd be dead easy to come up w/ them. That's what they apparently do at those tabloids.

The UK press doesn't seem to be as bad as the US's when it comes to making up crap. Although newspapers such as the Star and the Sun are to be avoided if you don't like being given false information. They are constantly printing wrong things, mainly about celebrities.

I don't read newspaper. I don't even watch the news. I find it too depressing. I stick to magazines like Vogue and Cosmo.

They're still featuring the Ramsey story??? Holy moly! They must not have anything else to speculate about.

All sorts of people read these papers. Years ago I even subscribed to the Star. It's fun to read while you're in the bathroom. It takes no brain-power.

Some people believe every word they read; some read the things for the pure joke of the whole thing. Hopefully more people than not read these publications for a laugh.

OMG, Weekly World News is hilarious! Sometimes if I'm at the store and have a few extra bucks to spare I'll buy it just for a good laugh. I haven't bought one in quite some time though.

Don't ask me why I remember this, but there was a guy who played Santa that Jon Benet really liked that was a suspect. But he had a rock-hard alliby (sp?) This is rediculous. The murderers of Jon Benet were found years ago: John and Patsy Ramsey.
