That's because it was the suckiest ER ever aside from the one where Benton did the doctoring in some small town in the south.

LOL. It's funny how the suckiest episodes of ER are when they take place OUT OF THE ER! Well, I just saw the Hawaii-Mark-Greene-dies-episode last night (seen it once before as well) and I don't mind that one. Generally when the show isn't in the ER, it's bad news bears. This Congo one I tolerated ok, partly because I got to practice my french.

Okay, for the summary. I'm pretty terrible with summaries, but since no one has stepped in, I'll do my best. What's worse, during the height of the episode, I was losing interest, and missed some of its purpose.

Well, Carter goes to the Congo you know. Since you conked out after 5 minutes, you probably didn't see Luka. He was over in Kinshasa or someplace doing surgeries I think, or getting supplies. Whatever, he came back to the area where Carter was within 10 minutes.

There was lots of French being spoken. Some of it wasn't in subtitles either. I had to click on the close captioning and strain my brain trying to remember french. That part was fun. Except I realized, how bad I am at foreign languages. Lol, Anyway...

It took Carter some time getting used to the poverty and terrible medical care over there. His facial expressions were reminiscent of his med school days. Lol. In the middle of the episode a boy came in after being shot. This is where it's a little hazy for me. He was shot for a reason, I believe, but for what I don't know. Nanny Fine, did you hold better attention than I did? Maybe you could help out with the whole shooting deal.

Well, Carter worked his hardest trying to save this boy after he was hemorrhaging in his abdomen. The nurse there, (that you probably saw, with the accent) was so quick to give up on him. She was familiar with the type of bullets that wounded him, (they were bad), they lacked medical supplies. And what's worse, the power goes out every night, so they had to race to fix him up before then. She said to leave him there over night, and if he survives, they could continue. Carter refused to give up though, but the boy died while Carter was working on him. Later on, people held guns to the nurses, Luka's, and Carter's heads I didn't understand this. It had something to do with the boy's death. I think they were blaming the doctors and nurses for not saving him. Someone standing around said to the armed guys that Carter tried his hardest to save the boy, so they let them all alone. Instead, they shot someone else, multiple times. Who that was, I don't know. OHH NANNY FINE...! :)

Well, I can sure go on and on, can't I? Basically, that was the show. Luka stuck around at the end and Carter went home. Oh, and I forgot to mention, the nurse from Montreal was hitting on both Luka and Carter. Carter had no interest so Luka, being the recent wild guy that he is, went after her. The End.
