I never go out on Sunday and I guess because i just see Sunday as a day to get mentally and physically ready for Monday. In the Fall I watch football on Sunday, In the Winter and Spring I watch Basketball on Sunday, and in The Summer I watch Sitcoms or surf the Web on sunday.

I do sometimes...obviously not today, though.

Well I was supposed to go out tonight but... I don't think its gonna happen.

And I don't see Sunday as a different weekday, I'll do whatever I would on any other day on a Sunday.

Sunday is my day for laundry and homework. It's tough to get out on Sundays anyway because everything is closed. IF I go out, it's to the grocery store for milk or eggs or something.

I never spend all day indoors unless I'm sick. I know everyone is different, but I can't stand to be cooped up. I have some kind of need to be around the other humans. I've heard it called "herd instinct." I guess I've got it. I just came back from the gym, and am on my way out to the movies ("The Matrix"). Since I've been cooped up here sick for five days, I really need to get out today. I know what you mean about getting psyched for work, though, but I usually don't start to feel that way until Sunday evening. In the past, when I've had jobs I didn't like much, I guess maybe I felt that way all day Sunday, but my present job is pretty harmless, so I don't think much about the fact that the next day is a work day. I never have family obligations, since I'm in the South and my family is in the North and is rather small anyway.

If I go out, it's usually during the day. There's really not much open on a Sunday night anyway.

I don't usually go out on Sundays, but this weekend is a long weekend (Victoria Day weekend) so I did go out for a little bit today.

I usually don't go out on Sundays because I'd rather just chill at home since I have school the next day. I have golf practice at 7:30 tonight because we have our county tournament tomorrow and that's just going to mess me up since all of my Sundays are usually the same.

Well, in Germany NOTHING is open on Sunday. I am not kidding you, it gets really annoying. They take this "day of rest" thing very seriously. The supermarkets and restaurants are all closed, which I guess makes sense, but it gets frustrating. So I normally just sleep in on Sunday (cuz I don't belong to any church here) and catch up on homework.

Back home I normally go to church and then out to brunch w/ my parents. :)

I go to my Mom's for dinner every Sunday. She cooks dinner for our whole family and there are usually at least 12- 15 of us there! She cooks like a big pot of soup or like today, spaghetti..
This has been going on for about 20 years now! Good ol' Mom! :loveya:

Oh yes. We learned about that in German Class last year (I live in the U.S.--took German as a foreign language.) I really couldn't believe how nothing was available for people on Sundays. That information was in our book, but how teacher told us something else. She may have been wrong, but she said that in the larger cities, more things will be open on Sundays, but in the smaller cities, things are really closed. I noticed my town, which is smaller, tends to do that. Not much is opened compared to the bigger cities close by. Of course, it's not to the extreme as Germany.

I'll go out on Sundays like any other day, but I always feel different about Sundays. Probably because the next day is Monday.

Actually, Melissa, I think you're lucky. I'm an only child and always wanted a big family. On the other hand, if I did have a big family near me, it probably wouldn't take long before they started driving me crazy. I do actually have about a hundred closer relatives in Vermont, but I don't know them well. Still I envy you having family around.

So other then that I like to be home on sunday because that is usually the day the whole family is home.

On Sundays I usualy go to church and then I either go play basketball with my friends or go fishing. During the Fall I go to church and then watch football, so during the fall on Saturday and Sunday afternoons, I'm usualy inside watching football. Oh and I watch Nascar on Sundays to.

Seriously - nothing is open on Sundays. I live in Freiburg, which is a pretty good-sized town. I'd say it's about the size of Indianapolis, just to give you an idea. A few select restaurants are open and gas stations - that's it. Urgh. What's annoying is how the supermarket lines are always out the door on Saturdays, you'd think they're closing for two years not just a day. Yet again - Urgh!

Back home anyway (I'm from a tiny little town in Michigan that no one's ever heard of) everything's open on Sundays except the bank and post office. When I come back to the states I'll never complain about that again

Also, Cashodeen, wie lange hast du Deutsch studieren? Vieleicht eines Tages wohnst du auch in Deutschland! :)

I NEVER go out on Sunday. I go out about once a week and that is to buy groceries. I don't drive so I don't get out that much. But if I did drive I would get out more.
