Can anyone raise their eyebrows (I call it the "Kevin Arnold")? I cant-- I try so hard but all I wind up doing is scrunching my face together looking constipated. But I can do the "Elvis" lipcurl. Is it that you can only do one or the other? Weird.

No problem. I can raise them on demand. But what I can't do is raise just one to give a quizzical look, like Mr. Spock on "Star Trek."

Kristian Alfonso (Hope on Days of Our Lives) raises her eyebrow like that and it's amazing, almost perfected.

I can raise my right one on demand and my daughter can raise her left one.

She can do weird things like make 4 rolls in her tongue but I can't do that stuff.

She cant' flare her nostrils either but I can :) She calls it moving your noseholes :)

Yep. I Can raise One up and kinda bring one down. I Used to do it to Immatate The Rock's Peoples Elbow

my mom said once when i was mad or something i raised one eye brow and not the other one.and i didn't even know it! :lol: but i could never do it again.:)

I can raise my eye brows, raise just one, flare my nostrils, curl my lips... I'm just.... not normal, lol.

I can only raise both eyebrows at once. It drives me crazy when everyone around me can raise only one and I can't.
But I can curl my tongue...something to be proud of, I suppose.

i can it is fun to do walking down the road rasing one eyebrow and winking to friends who can't do ethir:D also it is good to do if you are in an argument you don't want to get any more heated and need to break the tention

Yeah, I can do it.... my sister used to be unable to wink, lol. She'd try to close one eye but the other one went down with it.

I can easily raise both eyebrows simultaneously,but I can't raise just one.

Oh I can do that REALLY good. I can do it for a long time too as if Im purring. I can do it with my mouth closed or open and do different pitches to make it sound like a phone ringing.

Yah, Ive tried teaching my friend to do it-- she cant do it for jack!:lol:

Basically, just put your tongue on the top of your mouth touching the back of your teeth. Then just kinda breath out of your mouth as if you were talking. Just blowing causes spit to fly around.:eek:

I can do them both and then I can do them one at a time, if you grew up watching Days of our Lives like I did and watched Kristian Alfonso and Drake Hogestyn everyday, then it pretty much comes as second nature. :lol:

As for that Spanish rr, I can't do it for anything LOL. I'm sitting there is Spanish class and if we have to say a word with it, the rest of the class can and I'm sitting there going "er er" :lol:

Do you know that the ability to curl the tongue is hereditary? I can do it but my Mom can't. I got it from my dad. My daughter can wiggle her ears. I can't. That's hereditary too! She got that from my Dad too!:D


And I always felt stupid because I cannot whistle. That's hereditary also! So if you can't whistle that is because you didn't inherit that talent.:(

I can't whistle either....well I sort of can, but it's pretty pathetic. I wouldn't even consider it a real whistle. Tongue rolling I can do, though. Yup...

I can't whistle, either...sigh. It's pretty sad because my five-year-old cousin knows how and she insists on trying to teach me. I simply can't do it so I end up looking stupid in front of a five-year-old, lol. Actually there was this one time where my cousin was instructing me...she said, "Okay Marisa...whistle!" so I shaped my lips and my sister whistled for me and my cousin went, "Hey Marisa, good job!" It was really funny! :lol:

Haha, that's my hidden talent. I can also do a double knot.

The whistle, the cross-eye, the Spanish 'rrrrrr', it all comes naturally to me. The one thing, that I absolutely can not do, is snap my fingers. I just sit there and try to snap, but all I get is a rubbing noise. It annoys me to no end. :mad:

I've always wondered how ppl make their eyebrows do that! it's just like "woooooop" and there eyebrows go up almost to the middle of their forehead. Its just weird to me.......

I can snap my fingers too.. and wiggle my ears. I can also take my thumb and bend it all the way down to my arm.. I thought everyone could do that but no one I know can. Oh well LOl. But I CANNOT for the life of my whistle. No wait, I can.. but to whistle people breathe out. What the hell Im demented because I breathe IN so I cant do any special whistles or anything.
