I just noticed something about this one: You know the scene where Howard looks for Fonzie who's holding up a girl in Arnolds Potsie are? There's a sign that says "Under New Management." It makes me wonder if there really was an "Arthur" who owned the place in "All the way" then sold it? What do you think?

It's never stated one way or the other on HD but I'd say it's likely that Arnold's started out as being owned by an otherwise unknown entity called Arthur but that would change by the 2nd episode!

The Only thing that goes against that Theory is "Richie Fights Back". When Arnolds said his name isnt really Arnolds and he just bought it cause it had a big sign with ARNOLDS On it.

Now one possibility is, Arnold could have bought it at the begining of Season 3. Dont forget that time in Season 2 where theirs a different Arnold. The guy in Season 2 was probably the REAL Arnold, Who bought it a year earlier from Arthur.

Confused me for a minute, but I get it now! So it was: Arthur, Arnold, "Arnold", Al.

I didn't know Potsie owned the restaurant!:joke: Wasn't "Arnolds" the name of it during the 83-84 season? I thought Fonzie sold Al's part of it to Arnold. Al had just gotten married & moved to Chicago. Ialways wondered why the marriage was left out.

So quite possibly it could have gone...

Arthur
Arnold
"Arnold"
Al
Fonzie & Al
Fonzie & "Arnold"
Fonzie

With Fonzie, Al and Louisa in there somewhere as well...

They must write classifieds something like this:

HELP WANTED -- Mngr. drive-in restaurant. Must be personable, funny, and willing to change name to Arnold if necessary.

Oh my.

And the weird part about that is That Fonzies First name is Arthur. So their were 2 Arnolds, 2 Arthurs and an Al.

All of the proprietors have names beginning with A? That's pretty discriminatory, I wonder if anyone who's applied for the job and not gotten it, later filed a lawsuit? ;)
