I don't know if they ran all the episodes in order, but a four week pregnancy is really short. Yes, they can manipulate time and make months into weeks, but I think they could have done more with the storyline. I'd forgotten Rob & Katie had triplets, but I still wonder why the writers had him have three sons all at once. Were they afraid the show would end soon? Just curious what you think...

I suppose it did put more creativity into the stories... 3 bassinets, the need for a new room, having to have them re-identified, et al.

As for the 4-week pregancy, in the season opening ep, they were doing 'spring cleaning,' to push the idea that it was spring when Katie found out she was pregnant, then suddenly it was fall [football season; new year in school] as she prepared to have the babies.

But this conforms to a pattern set for each of MTS' last few seasons. A new storyline would be introduced in the first ep of that season, and would be culminated within a few weeks. Examples: Robbie and Katie meet in ep#1, get married in ep#5; Steve and Barbara meet in ep#1, get married in ep#8; Polly is introduced in ep#1, she and Chip get married in ep#7. In 'Birth of the Triplets' story, it culminates in a birth instead of a marriage.
