I know that the writers of the show wanted us to think that they would end up together, but I'm glad it didn't happen. Where was the chemistry between the two??? Did anyone think that Jerry and Elaine should have married each other?

I don't think they should've married eachother either.

I thought they had chemistry, just not in the waking up together every morning sort of way. I think Elaine had it right in the one episode when Jerry suddenly found love for his fellow men and women. He gushilly, on bended knee, proposed to Elaine. She nearly choked on the banana she was eating and then virtually ran out of the apartment to get away from the Jerry-gone-nuts. :lol:

i think there was chemistry there. but not enought to get married. Let's remember Jerry & Elane loved to "sleep around" with many diff partners. I don't think it would have worked anyways. Some one would have cheated :lol:

I don't think the show would have worked with any of them getting married. They're just meant to be single.

Funny, cause when the show started, I remember thinking it would be nice if they hooked up. I remember Jerry saying Elaine was as 'it' as he could get. But then they dropped it and I never even thought about it again. The show was so genius, and the characters had such a weird relationship, that the romance wasn't even necessary. They just weren't the type of characters who would get married.

Can you think of two other male and female characters who were not together but stayed strong friends? "Friends" excluded.
