View Full Version : The Lakers Fans at the Staple Center was very wrong Tonight
TVFactFan 05-16-2003, 12:29 AM I can't believe after 3 years of winning the NBA title, some of the Lakers fans were actually leaving when the Lakers were down by 20. That just shows that the Lakers fans are ungrateful. Why wouldn't the fans stay just to applaud their team for a great run? Anyone else think that was horrible?
Brad Russ 05-16-2003, 06:42 AM Well I see where you're coming from, but in fairness to the Laker fans, most of them did stay. Infact at one point the team even got a 3 minute standing ovation, so I wouldn't categorize them all for being ungrateful. From what I saw, most of them seemed sincerely grateful. You also have to remember though that many of the Laker fans are rich guys in business suits making way too much money. These are the same kinds of fans that arrive in their seats 6 minutes after the game has already started, so it really doesn't surprise me that many of them left early, because many of the ones that left I don't believe were true fans anyway. I think the true fans all stayed until the end.
isiahthomas 05-16-2003, 09:46 AM I've said this all season long that Shaq & Kobe have no help from their teammates. Their teammates suck, plain & simple. If Rick Fox would've played, the Lakers would've still lost cause he sucks too. Derek Fisher & Kobe were crying after the game hahahahahahahahahahahaha. Kobe said he's not used to losing. Well he better get used to it cause if the Lakers management decides to keep these same bum ass players they got now, they won't be good next yr even if Phil is still coaching them. Shaq should've gotten his toe taken care of during the offseason cause if he wouldn't have missed any games, the Lakers might've had a chance to get home court advantage throughout the playoffs. Players think the offseason is for partying all the time. Players have to take care of themselves during the offseason so they can come back healthy for the following season. I wanna see somebody else win the championship this yr anyway. I'm tired of the Lakers always winning it. I gotta give Phil Jackson his props for being a good coach cause when he was with the Bulls, they had a lot of bums too & some kind of way he got those bums to help out Jordan & Pippen win some rings. Remember Cliff Levingston who played for the Bulls in their first 2 championship yrs? All he used to do was wave the towel from the bench hahahahahahahahahahahahaha.
passionsfan79 05-16-2003, 04:46 PM i was glad to see the lakers lose out to the spurs. i hate lakers and spurs but id rather see the spurs go to the confrence finals and have either dallas or kings get into the finals which proubly wont happen but just hoping. iam a wolves fan even though we still cant get passed the first round. to bad the wolves couldnt kick the lakers out but oh well at least someone did. we finally get to see someone new for a change to win the title wouldnt it be nice for a eastern team to win a champion ship if its the spurs in the finals??

You will be saying the same thing if the Spurs win the title the next 3 years, I HATE THE SPURS-so please save it.
isiahthomas 05-17-2003, 07:08 AM I just read on the internet that Robert Horry & Brian Shaw probably won't be back next yr for the Lakers. Also Tracy Murray, Mark Madsen, Samaki Walker, Rick Fox are all free agents. What teams would want these bums besides Rick? Medevenko got to go too, he's sorry. Karl Malone, Scottie Pippen, PJ Brown, Juwan Howard are free agents that the Lakers are interested in. They should definitely go after Juwan cause i know he wants to get out of Denver bad.

They defintely don't need horry back
HuskerOne 05-17-2003, 12:35 PM Medevenko is a sorry defender but boy can he shoot if Tim Duncan could knock down free throws like he can they would have not had to go back to LA in the first place.
LA fans are like that ever watch a Dodger's game they don't come until the 2nd or 3rd inning and leave before the game is over
isiahthomas 05-20-2003, 07:26 AM I just read on the internet today that Phil Jackson is mad at Shaq for not showing up last weekend to talk to the media about what happened to the Lakers in the playoffs & their plans for the future. Everybody else showed up except Rick Fox who is in New York getting surgery done & Samaki Walker. Samaki also didn't call LOL. He knows he's getting cut. Shaq is a sore loser & so is Kobe & Derek Fisher. Do they think they're supposed to win the title all the time?

I guess a lost is hard to digest when you are used to winning the title three years in the row.
