Chocoholic 05-16-2003, 12:03 AM At home, we have AOL dial-up. It sucks :barf: On campus, I have Microsoft Internet Explorer and it's a cable modem. I like it much better. It's faster and doesn't crash as often. Krista2882 05-16-2003, 12:12 AM I just got a cable modem not too long ago!! yay!!!! before that, I had 56k. blackbeard 05-16-2003, 12:17 AM I remember days of 14k, then upgraded to 56k, couldn't go back to a dialup modem again ziggy4500 05-16-2003, 12:38 AM cable..i cant go back to 56K :) spunkygirl 05-16-2003, 02:00 AM Funny thing is I use dial up and I love it! I never have had the problems people say they have had with dial up. Mine is also pretty fast too. It's very rarely slow unless there's alot of people accessing a certain website at the same time or something, but all in all my dial up is great. I couldn't afford Cable or DSL if I wanted anyways :( nantucket_wings 05-16-2003, 10:23 AM I have road runner (through the local cable company) and to tell you the truth, I dont like it, how my computer is, it just meets the min. requirements which means it dont have enough memory to go at the full speed, it does go faster than dial up but it cost me nearly $50.00/month .. Im ditching it as soon as we get our phone in mrsthomashadenchurch 05-17-2003, 09:35 PM I have DSL and love it.
