I am fairly new to this site and I see everyone post these long lists over and over. I know they don't keep typing it every time, so I was wondering if someone can give me detailed instructions on how to keep adding my list as a post.
I am not very smart with computers, so I need alot of help.
Thanks
Lucy

Tealady,

First of all, have you ever posted your have/want list? If you've done this once, go to that same post and click "edit". You can then cut and paste from there so you won't have to keep on typing out the html tags. Take the stuff from there and add your newer stuff. Just keep on cutting/pasting each time and adding to it as you go along.

I hope this helps. I am not a computer genius just a lazy person who likes the easiest way out. ;) You may also email me privately if you'd rather at jenericbooks@hotmail.com

Hi
I have never posted my list before on line. So I just went to edit on my original post to see where cut & past is. But I don't see it. What am I doing wrong?

Let me help you out.

If you have word pad or note pad on your computer, you can keep a steady list right on your desk top.

If you click start in your botten corner of your computer, you will see it word pad,or note pad.----------------If you dont see it click on programs and it is probually there.

Open word pad,and type away. When your done with your list click on the x in the upper right to close it out,it will ask you if you want to save untitled document.Click yes,and name it show list or whatever you want.

It will probually ask you where to save it,and use the down arrow untill you find desktop.

Then you can just open it up and edit whenever.

When you want to post your list on here, just open your show list file. When it is open go to the top and hold the left side of your mouse down and run the sursor all the way down your list.It should be highlighted blue as you go.

when you get to the bottem and everything is highlighted you want to copy release the left mouse butten, then click the right one once.then select copy.

then come on here and right click, then hit paste.

hopefully this helps, and wasnt to detailed.ask if you need more help.

Cool ,glad you have it.

Just to remember to save in desktop,if you accidentally save in documents, thats fine to if you dont want it on your desktop, thats your preference.

Thats alot easier then trying to search for an old post buried 3 or 4 pages deep......lol......:D

I can help you if you need some more:D

OK I got the notepad done, even on my desktop. I only typed 3 shows just in case I case I am wrong.
This is what I did
1- First I typed on sitcoms on line before I posted it.
2- then I opened my notepad
3- then I highlighted list
4- then I right clicked and hit copy
That's where my problem is when I looked at my post nothing happened. What am I doing wrong?

Ok Lucy.It sounds like you have your file created and on your desk top.

Copy and paste is pretty easy to do,I went through the same thing, trying to learn myself.

1)Open your list from your desktop.

2)Left click on your mouse, and highlight everything you want to copy................hint when you left click, hold left down and your whole list should highlight, mine is blue highlighted when I do it.

3)Once it is all highlighted release left click, dont release it untill everything you want to copy is highlighted.

4)When you release, everything you just highlighted should stay highlighted,if it doesnt highlight again.

5)Now that it is highlighted, tap the right mouse butten(you dont have to hold it down just tape it?

It should say
undo
copy
paste
delete

etc...

Scroll to copy, and right click on copy.

6)Now come to the forum here or wherever you want to post your list.Get ready to make your post, then right click on your mouse.,and select paste.

7)everything you just copied should now be pasted in your post.

Hopefully this helps you,and I explained it so you can understand.
Once you figure this out,you will use copy and paste for more then your list.Just post if you still have more trouble:D :D
