I am trying to find out more about a case that involved some people in a town receiving anonymous letter in the mail. I am thinking the town is Circleville, Ohio but cannot find out any more about it. Anyone remember this one?

I have been unable to find any material on the internet concerning the Circleville letters case. In October 1983, Paul L. Freshour was found guilty of the murder of his former brother-in-law Ron Gillispie in August 1977. He was sentenced to a minimum of 7 years and a maximum of 25 years at Pickaway Correctional Institution. The evidence at the trial was based on Freshour's writing resembling the writing style of the letters sent to Mary Gillispie suggesting that she should end her affair with the school superintendant and a pistol he owned found in a crude road side booby trap. Freshour was released from Pickaway Correctional Institution in 1994. He was released because letters continued to be sent to Circleville residents during his incarceration and it was found that Sheriff Dwight Radcliff used inappropriate interrogative methods when questioning Freshour.

The information on Paul Freshour, his sentence and crime can be found at the Pickaway Correctional Institution website:

and then conduct an offender search:

An examination of the Circleville Herald newspaper and other media have not yielded any success.
