View Full Version : Sitcoms you hate

Are there any sitcoms that you find so moranically stupid you can't bare to watch them? I have a few. The one I hate the most is Harry And The Hendersons. Awful, awful, awful show. Horrible acting, dire scripts, and just a stupid concept all round.

I also loathe Small Wonder. Another show that really makes me cringe.

I have to wonder how shows like these ever get the green light.

Snoopy - you hate the Golden Girls?

Wow I didn't think it was possible to hate that show. Ah well, each to their own. :D I agree with most of your other choices though, especially Seinfield. What an over-rated piece of garbage (no offense to fans, just my opinion!)

The one sitcom that I hate the most is definitely Taxi. That has to be the worst show ever.

Here are some others that I hate:
"The Beverly Hillbillies"
"Maude"
"Hogan's Heroes"
"Barney Miller"
"The Nanny"
"Archie Bunker's Place"

Here are some shows that I really don't love or hate:

BY LucyFan: Barney Miller
Why!? Does it have to do with the fact that the show's humor could be quite dry? I happen to love a dry sense of humor so I think Barney Miller's great.

I agree about "The Beverly Hillbillies." Although I'll admit I've never really watched it. The theme song annoys me! And I don't care too much for "Friends" either. There are too many characters to keep track of. JMO.

I think your statement is a little rude. Everybody has different tastes and no one is right or wrong for liking/not liking a TV show. I think The Simpsons is a great comedy, but I understand it's not for everyone and I would never say that someone who doesn't like it doesn't know what a good TV show is. I've watched Three's Company on several occasions and it never struck me as funny. The fact that I don't like the show does not mean I have bad taste in TV, nor does not make me any less intelligent than you.

I believe TV Guide listed it recently as one of the worst TV shows ever. I forget its exact rank, but it may have even outranked My Mother, the Car (which I have yet to see)!

If you can stand to watch The Flying Nun long enough for the opening song, you can clearly see the cables suspending her! It's the scene where she's holding onto the leash of a runaway dog.

As for my list, there are way too many bad shows to list. My favorites (some of them, anyway) are listed in my profile.

I can’t believe how many people said they hated Cheers:eek: Honestly what’s not to like about this show YOU GUYS ARE ALL MORONS!!!!!!!!!!!!

J/k Seriously though I hate it when people on these boards are rude to other people just cause they don’t have the same opinions. We all have the right to our opinions and have no right to be a jerk to someone just cause they don’t have that same opinion. That’s what these boards are for: giving and discussing people’s different opinions. So if you are going to be rude please take your comments elsewhere.:)

Anyways I hate

WHo's the Boss?
Petticoat Junction
I dream of jeanni
The Nanny
Bewitched
Sabrina the teenage witch
Buffy The Vampire slayer (I know its not a sitcom but i think its awful)

Surley you don't think they would actually make her fly for real, right? It was just a slip up, and so far in the first season there haven't been any other time where the strings would show. It was the 60s, and they didn't have the technology of today to make it look like she was really flying...

My list of bad sitcoms:

"The Cosby Show" - I HATE IT!!!!!!!!!! I especially hate the fact that they have a marathon at least once a month.

"Friends" - The single most annoying sitcom ever created. What's so interesting about six people who know each other? Nothing really...

"Fernwood 2-Night" - Highly overrated by Fred Willard and Martin Mull when it is on the TVLand Kitschen

"Seinfeld" - Highly overrated by everyone. I believe that RANK or TVGUIDE voted it as the greatest sitcom ever.......what a load garbage...

Any sitcom from the 90s about "finding love in the big city"

Any reality show such as "The Bachelor," "The Bachelorette," "American Idol," or "Mr. Personality"

From your reply, it sounds as if you think I must be some kind of idiot. My comment wasn't about the means used to create the flying effect, but rather the lack of skill at maintaining the illusion. Other shows of that decade (e.g., Bewitched) were much more adept at keeping the tricks-of-the-trade hidden from the viewers.
