James Frawley directed from a story by one of the series' co-executive producers Alex Taub and a teleplay by co-producer Randall Caldwell and Dawn Comer Jefferson. Tim Daly ("Wings") guest stars as the stressed-out public defender, Monty Fisher. When overworked public defender, Monty Fisher, defends a teenage boy dealing drugs in a school zone, the mounting pressure gets to the attorney and he fires a gun in Amy's courtroom. Meanwhile, Stu and Amy's relationship takes a sudden turn. Also, torn between Heather and Lily, Kyle confesses his feelings to one of them, and receives a surprising answer.
