I decided to kill some free time by posting (from what I could get from 'The Lucy Show') to have been Lucy Carmichael's bio. Here goes:
c.1911-1921- Lucy born to a Mr. and Mrs. Taylor of Jametown, New York.
Year Unknown- has younger sister Marge.
Age 14 - Has First Date with unknown boy driving his own car which she fondly recalls years later- until she remembers the date evidently went a lot further than she'd want her daughter to go.
[Age Unknown]- Dates a hometown boy she nicknames 'Drippy' who'd later become a substitute for Mr. Mooney.
Age 16-Last time Lucy's a brunette! From this point onwards dyes it- and evidently always red.
Ages 18-21- Attends and Graduates from college.
Year Unknown- First becomes a secretary.
1941-1945- US in World War II- and Lucy joins the WAACs where she befriends fellow WAAC Vivian (maiden name unknown).
c.1945-c.1947- Marries a Mr. Carmichael and evidently moves with him to his hometown of Danfield, New York. Little is known about Mr. Carmichael (not even his first name) but evidently was prosperous enough to have completely paid off a 3-story, 4 bedroom house with a large yard by the time of his death- and would bang on a television set to make a picture right.
c.1948-Bears unimaginately named blonde daughter Chris.
c.1955-Bears redhead son named Jerome but almost always called Jerry.
1958- Mr. Carmichael has died and leaves Lucy and their children his house and a trust fund administered by Danfield banker Mr. Barnsdahl. Not having enough of an income from this, Lucy suppliments this by inviting newly divorced old friend Vivian Bagley and her son Sherman to live with them and draws up a contract that could give Viv the option of house ownership on Sherman's birthday sometime near December 22nd. It should be noted that Lucy has evidently never has or never would meet Viv's ex-husband Ralph Bagley and he has absolutely nothing further to do with his son Sherman's life other than erratic alimony checks to Viv.
October,1963 Mr. Barnsdahl leaves for parts unknown and his successor Mr. Theodore J. Mooney takes over as administer of the Carmichael Trust.
May-September,1965 - Viv meets, is courted by and marries a Mr. Bunson which prompts Lucy to sell her house and use the funds to pay for her daughter Chris's college education (evidently she skipped a grade or two) then move to Los Angeles, California with son Jerry- all unseen by viewers!
October,1965-Lucy has moved to Los Angeles with Jerry and as she readies him for boarding school, she finds that her transferred trust fund is being administered by the transferred Mr. Mooney. Also, this is the first time she disguises herself as 'Iron Man' Carmichael who she claims to be her brother yet, curiously, no one questions why he has her marriedsurname instead of her maiden name!
Late,1965- Instead of taking dictation as a new secretary, Lucy writes a letter to her mother (Mrs. Taylor) which raises the question of where Mrs. Taylor was when her younger daughter Marge married in 1962 and why she's never visited Lucy! Also, shortly after this, Lucy goes to work fulltime for Mr. Mooney and no more is heard about the trustfund. Lucy befriends scriptgirl Mary Jane Lewis.
December,1965 Son Jerry (and his choir) visit Lucy over the Christmas holiday. Last time Jerry is seen!
November,1966-Lucy gets a letter from her son she inexplicably calls Jimmy!
February,1968 Viv visits Lucy for the last time- and it should be noted that neither on this nor on any of the previous LA visits do either of them ever mention or ask about their respective offspring!
March,1968 Lucy is last seen saluting Mr. Mooney and praising him for six years of being his employee- in spite of only working for him less than three. What becomes of Lucy, Mr. Mooney, Vivian Bagley Bunson, the Carmichael kids and Sherman's unknown from this point on but Mary Jane Lewis is next seen in an alternate universe being friends with a redheaded Lucy Carter and her two teens in the LA area- and never hints about having known Lucy Carmichael and co.!
