Why do Chandler and Monica want to adopt instead of insemination? Its like the same thing but at least with insemination the baby will look like one of them! It boggles the mind!

Because with adoption it's a mutual agreement to raise a child that is neither one of their biologically but will still be THEIR child. If they did insemination it would only be a part of Monica and when you love someone and want to have a child with them, if you can't have the baby be a part of both parents it makes sense to do it the other way.

It's not uncommon or unheard of.

I think if it were me i'd rather adopt if my spouse couldnt have children
even if the child didnt look like us it would still be ours

Having a child isn't all about having a kid look like you. Not at all. well yeah its WAY more then that SOMETIMES i feel like a Mother to my children in my preschool I work at and HECK I Probably see them MORE then thier real mothers do
