Who’s The Boss? (June, 2004)

Tony Danza starred in this comedy which aired from 1984 to 1992 as an ex-baseball player and widowed father of a young daughter. When Tony Micelli (Danza) decides to move from Brooklyn to suburban Connecticut to give Samantha (Alyssa Milano), a better life, he takes a job as a live-in-housekeeper for Angela Bower (Judith Light), a high-powered advertising executive. The divorced mother with a son of her own, Jonathan (Danny Pintauro), had been skeptical about hiring a man as a housekeeper, but Tony proved to bring order to the chaotic house and serve as a father figure to Jonathan. Mona, (Katherine Helmond), Angela’s sexy mother, adored Tony and hoped for years that the couple would eventually fall in love. The running theme of the show was Tony and Angela’s evolving relationship, and in 1991, the two finally admitted that they had fallen in love with each other.

Yeah it'll be a great addition for about two or three weeks it will get a great timeslot, then after that BAM-it will be shoved to 4 or 5 in the morning like they do any show that's not Cosby, Cheers or Three's Company

I'm really excited to hear that, but I'm not getting too excited because N@N gives any show that isn't The Cosby Show or Cheers the crap treatment. But oh well, there's always that wonderful invention we call a VCR :)

First, FULL HOUSE in October; now WHO'S THE BOSS? in 2004 ... great news! Unfortunately, N@N is adding ROSEANNE to their lineup (A very un-funny show; I don't know why it's so popular. John Goodman and Laurie Metcalf are the only people who can actually act in that show), but not everything in life can be perfect :)

Ish, let's all cross our fingers in hopes that that doesn't happen - we already have too many good ones stuck in that dreadful timeslot. :(

Anyway, this is great news! :cheer:

I can't wait 'til Who's The Boss joins Nick @ Nite! :)

P.S. What is wrong w/"Three's Company" & "Cheers"? I'm sick of "Cosby", since I've seen every episode a zillion times. I wish N@N or TV Land would put "Laverne & Shirley" back on! (after "Happy Days"-since HD spun-off L&S)

I hope N@N gets rid of Double Takes before this starts.
(so a bigger variety of shows will appear)

Oh, my gosh!!!!!!!!! Really??? Wow!!! Too cool!!! I love Who's the Boss?! I've been recording some episodes from ABC Family, but they do unnecessary cuts and even editing, so I'm looking forward to recording those over again!!!! :) :D

BTW, what will WTB? replace? I already enjoy the schedule lineup of Full House, The Cosby Show (although, they could eliminate one hour a night of this show to add WTB), Three's Company and Roseanne.

No, Cosby Show remains at 10:30. Double Takes are not going away. Just that 10-11pm and 3-4am hour will not have double episodes. Who's the Boss will NOT air 10:30p and 3:30a, just 10:00p and 3:00a.

3:00AM Wings

4:00AM Roseanne
4:30AM Roseanne
5:00AM Full House
5:30AM Full House

If your assumption turns out to be true it would be stupid on N@N's part. First off Roseanne is N@N's #1 new show and second overall (after The Cosby Show) in ratings for N@N. Moving it to 12 would totally kill its ratings. I really don't see Who's The Boss being particularly big on N@N as say Cosby and Roseanne but I think they'll probabaly see how it does in the 10 o'clock hour then adjust from there. Personally, I don't think a show like Full House belongs on N@N. It was never really a big hit and only spent 2 seasons in the bottom half of the top 10 when it did peak. It also never received any good reviews and doesn't have the cult following as the other shows. N@N's also adding The Fresh Prince Of Bell-Air this year. It'll be intresting to see how it does in N@N's ratings report.

June looks like this:
Sun-Thu 9:00pm-10:00pm Full House (Tuesdays is Fatherhood/Cosby Show)
Sun-Thu 10pm Who's the Boss (Fatherhood/Cosby Show on Fri-Sat)
Everynight 10:30pm Cosby Show
Everynight 11pm-12am Roseanne
Everynight:
12:00am-1:00am Cosby Show
1:00am-2:00am Cheers
2:00am-3:00am Roseanne
Sun-Thurs 3:00am Who's the Boss? (Wings is on Fri-Sat)
3:30am Wings
4:00am-5:00am Cheers

Everything has double takes but Who's the Boss? and Wings (at least not Sun-Thurs) (And Fatherhood I guess).

Acutully i think Full House is NickatNite's most watched show. I saw on the Full House boards that a lot of people are watching Full House on NickatNite and it was like #5 in ratings. Roseanne was like #12 or something. Oh and by the way, Full House was classic! Full House was a big hit or it wouldn't be so popular today! I know more people who hated Roseanne than Full House.

Actually Full House only spent 2 seasons in the top 10. Whereas Roseanne spent 7 out of its 9 seasons in the top 10. Funny to note, when Full House followed Roseanne on ABC it received some of its best ratings. Personally, I think the only reason Full House gets much of it's recognition come from the fact that the Olsen Twins are pop culture icons. And here is a link Geneal Sitcoms Questions and Answers board. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/showthread.php?s=&threadid=104398 In this report it states Cosby is N@N's #1 show with Roseanne at #2 and Full House at #3. It doesn't state it clearly but the ratings reports are good. Calling Full House a classic is disputable. The show really hasn't built a reputation as say I Love Lucy

Nick@Nite has changed the June schedule already three times. What I posted here was "revision #1." The Full House thing was in "revision #2." And now that was changed, so for the latest updates read the June schedule on the General Sitcoms board. I can't go around in each board and edit everything.

I like every show on N@N.... with Cheers being the best, and Full House being the worst (although still good).... and Who's The Boss? someplace inbetween.

Actually, in order....

1. Cheers
2. The Cosby Show
3. Wings
4. Who's The Boss?
5. Roseanne
6. Full House

I'm glad to see Who's the Boss on N@N now, it's refreshing because I haven't seen it since I was in elementary school. I think they need to take out Full Hose and The Cosby Show. I like those shows, but I think they've ran their course, especially The Cosby Show because I've seen probaby all episodes a zillion times, and it's getting old. They need to add Charles in Charge to N@N. I miss that show! It's nice to see an 80's sitcom back on the air again! :) :)

Full House has only been on Nick@Nite since October 2003. I do agree Cosby ran its course, though.

I must say that the marathon on N@N this week has made me a "Who's the Boss" fan! It's not one of my all time favorites but it's a good and funny show and I've enjoyed watching it and I'll be looking forward to watching it Wednesday nights this summer!

Yeah, but most Nick@Nite shows get 2 hours. Once mini marathons shows, all Nick@Nite shows will be overplayed.

True, but I thought Pav said that N@N is limited in how many times a night they can air WTB, because of the Program Exchange? I might have misunderstood what we wrote

All their shows except for Wings and WTB are already overplayed, I say FH needs to be off N@N, ABC Family already airs it enough as it is. :(

No, not anymore, starting sometime in July, it is only going to air twice a day on ABC Family.

I say Cosby Show should be off Nick@Nite because its been airing for a while. Full House is still technancly new, along with Roseanne. And about the program exchange, thats true but it will still air 11 times a week.

I dont know how Nick@Nite is going to fit in Fresh Prince and Murphy Brown unless they get rid of double takes. Pav said they are going to limit them. I think The Cosby Show and Roseanne will have double takes but Full House and Whos The Boss? wont. I say this because Fresh Prince should air early, being it was more of a kids show. I think the schedule might look like this by January 2005.

9:00 PM- Full House
9:30 PM- The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air
10:00 PM- Who's The Boss?
10:30 PM- Murphy Brown
11:00 PM- The Cosby Show
11:30 PM- The Cosby Show
12:00 AM- Roseanne
12:30 AM- Roseanne
1:00 AM- The Cosby Show
1:30 AM- The Cosby Show
2:00 AM- Cheers
2:30 AM- Wings
3:00 AM- Who's The Boss?
3:30 AM- Murphy Brown
4:00 AM- Roseanne
4:30 AM- Roseanne
5:00 AM- Full House
5:30 AM- The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air

Thats good, the networks weren't doing FH any favors by overplaying it :)

I think you might be right about the schedule, but TCS and FP are more kids types shows they do belong on earlier.
