When they filmed "Graduation" (the series finale), did they have any intentions of carrying on SBTB in primetime?

The reason I ask is because, in that episode, all the characters seem to be going to different colleges than they ended up at.

After the graduation episode, a college spin-off was filmed. The spin-off was titled, "Saved By The Bell: The College Years" and it aired on primetime NBC Tuesday's throughout 1993. Many people don't consider it a spin-off, but just a continuation.

The continuation only lasted 23 episodes, including a TV movie about on Zack and Kelly's wedding in Las Vegas.

The continuation focused on Zack, Slater, Screech, and Kelly's college adventures at Cal-U. Jessie, went to an ivy- and Lisa went to a fashion institute- hence, they weren't included in the series. In real life, Elizabeth Berkely was filming her controversial flim, "Showgirls."

"Saved By The Bell: The College Years" airs among the regular "SBTB" episodes on syndication. TBS re-airs these episodes frequently.

Sorry, I should have better worded my question.

I know all about SBTB: The College Years. What I was wondering is, did the producers of SBTB have any itent of making the spin-off series when they filmed the finale for SBTB?

It would seem that they did not, given the fact that the characters all ended up at different colleges in SBTB: TCY than they said they were going to in the series finale of SBTB.

I also seem to remember hearing once that the series finale for SBTB was filmed almost a year before it aired.

from what i understand is that the producers were developing the college years and the new class while they were filming the 'tori' episodes. the graduation was filmed, i believe in 1991 and the producers didn't have any plans for primetime shows yet.

i could be wrong, but that is what i have heard in the past. i hope that helped a little bit. :)
