I don't have AOL anymore, but after you cancel your aol account can people re-register your screen name and make it their own?

i think its after a certain amount of time. I cancelled AOL, and still use my screen name for AIM.

Okay, because I was just wondering if they can if you never register your AOL screen name with AIM.

if you register it with AIM, than no one else can not even AOL, but if u dont, i believe its after 6 months, your name is back in the pool as well as being able to get it with AIM

I cancelled AOL a few months ago and your AOL screen name will continue to work on AIM, no matter how long, I think. You just have to make sure that your screen name on AOL was set to General.

Mine were always set to 18+ even when I was underage. Plus, it wouldn't have mattered if I was set underaged anyway because I never used the browser in aol so it wouldn't have blocked me because I used the external IE browser. But anyway, my question was answered already.

Pretty soon I heard AOL has plans to include the IE browser as well as far as Parental Controls... About Damn time lol :D

I don't have AOL so it doesn't matter to me. :lol:
