Chapter 2 (East Miami)


Rose: Hello? Mrs. Smith? Yes, this is Rose Nylund. Yes. Yes. Ok. Ok so just where is the house? I am on Brown St. right now. Ok. Really? Ok. Ok. Take a left at Maple...ok. A right on Carson. Ok. A right onto Olaf. Oh! I love that name...you know I am from St. Olaf and...Ok. Ok A left onto Birch. Wow! I really remember this area. Bringing myself back to East Miami and all to move people into their houses. Ok Mrs. Smith. Well you just keep giving me those directions and I'll try to find the house sooner or later. Ok. Ok. Ok.

Mrs. Smith: And a right onto East Mountainside, yes thats right. And a left onto Vernon Ave. (We see her in a livingroom with a door in the back with an exclamation point. It looks like the girls' old house, yet it is furished differently.)

Rose: Oh...oh this is the area we used to live in.l

Mrs. SMith: And a left onto Oak

Rose: Oh....oh I am going to pass by the old house...I just know it.

Mrs. Smith: And my house is the 5th one on the right.

Rose: Awwww ok. (Drives down past five houses and stops in front of the house.) Oh I cant wait to tell DOrothy and Blanch and Sophia the long trip I just took (runs to the door and tries to open it but it doesnt open)

Mrs. Smith: Is something wrong Ma'am?

ROse: This is my house!

Mrs. Smith: No it's mine.

Rose: But I just went for a long drive to this Place caled the Golden Palace and when I returned home the door was locked!

Mrs. SMith: WHo are you?

ROse: ROse Nylund

Mrs. SMith: Your just on time to move me!

ROse: Move you....oh I forgot....oh....so you like the new buyers of the house?

Mrs. Smith: Oh no, I havent sold it yet.

ROse: Oh.....our house....I remember it so well (smiles)

Rose returns to the Hotel after moving Mrs. Smith out of the house. Dorothy arrives with Lucas and Roger. Rose breaks the news to the girls about the house being sold again, yet hopes they will want to buy it back, which is what Rose really wants.
