Don't let the show fool you. That song was not written by John Stamos. It was written by Dennis Wilson, and is originally from the 1970 Beach Boys album Sunflower.

John Stamos and Mike Love have stepped on the memory of Dennis long enough by giving people the impression that the song was written by Stamos, which isn't the case at all. Shame on them both.

For those of you who have never heard the original and are only familiar with the Full House version and The (bastardized) Beach Boys' 1992 cover with John Stamos on lead vocals, do yourself a favor and seek out the original. It's so beautiful.

And remember - it ain't The Beach Boys without Brian, Dennis, or Carl Wilson, no matter what Mike Love tells you.
