On the boards: People who dont know how to spell. No one on here is in 3rd grade, therefor they shouldn't write like they are.

In real life: People who dont know when to shut up. People who insult my interests-- God thats friggan annoying. People who complain too much. Gah, there are so many things that piss me off I could write a novel. People who dont know how to drive. People who use their cell-phones while driving-- GET OFF THE DAMN PHONE AND DRIVE! People who dont know how to use directionals-- because it takes *so much effort*. People who tell me their problems. Sorry, if it doesnt concern me, I dont want to hear your sob story. Im not Dear Abby- you want advice write her.

My roommate, when she invites about 60 people into our apartment without checking with any of us - throws her own little dinner parties and doesn't invite us to them. We have to wait until they're done to cook our own dinner. And then the kitchen and dining room are trashed anyway. Urgh! (She's doing it right now as a matter of fact!) Jeez.

Arrrgh, that annoys me too. There's been a couple of people that I've wanted to put on ignore because I can't understand a word they're saying.

In life...
People who get pleasure out of pissing off others
People who talk about others behind their backs
People who say they're going to do things but they don't, or vice versa
Self-centered people
People who say or act like they're something they're not

Not necesarily spelling, but people who don't know how to type in English. Example: How r u? I went 2 da mall 2day. I got 1na those sk8 bord things for yenz all yo. Come on people, it doesn't take much to type a few extra letters. (And it makes you look more educated)

Also drivers. I hate drivers of all shapes and sizes. I don't care if I've never talked to you or if I've known you for 20 years and you're my best friend.

I get p*ssed off by lots of things:

* when people use the word "gay" as an insult
* when people get on the bus (which is already running late) without counting out their change first. They then proceed to pay their fare in coppers, one penny at a time...... GET A MOVE ON!!!!!
* people who stand in the middle of the street having some intense discussion so nobody else can get past them
* people who stand in newsagents and read all the magazines without actually buying any of them
* people who judge me and think they know all about me just by my appearance. F*ck off - you don't know anything about me or what I've been through so leave me alone!
* my job - my whole life is spent doing something I hate to get something I don't need
* I hate the way people look down on me just cos I'm single. There's nothing wrong with being single. And I'm not even single through choice. I'm the only gay woman in my stupid, ******** little town! What can I do about it??!!??
* when people tell me I have a drinking problem. It p*sses me off - they're so self-righteous. Like their life is so perfect!
* when my mother makes some cryptic comment about homosexuality to try and judge my reaction. If she wants to know if I'm gay or not then why doesn't she just ask me??!!
* anything and everything my father says or does p*sses me off

I hate when you are at a concert and stand up and then the person next to you stands up, but then stands there in front of you. It wouldn't be so bad but I am only about 5 feet tall, so I couldn't see a damn thing at the Foo Fighters concert. Finally I just pushed him outta the way and said excuse me really snotty. I don't like being mean to people but that damn guy wouldn't move.

Also I hate ignorant and arrogant people.

This is an honest question to you and to anyone who wants to answer. Why do you think people type like that? It doesn't save any time if you actually know at all how to type. And it could be real trouble if you need to type correctly for any reason. Talk about developing bad habits! My guess is that the people who do that just think it's cool. But that's MY guess. For me...I type like that when I'm in a rush. Like instead of typing out "y-o-u" I'll just type "u" to make it easier and faster. Or instead of typing out "a-r-e" i'll just type "r". For me its quicker and easier when I'm in a rush or when I'm really trying to get my point across, like when I'm arguing with someone.

I agree with you-- to be "cool". Yah, I might not use proper English all of the time, but I try to use all my vowels in the correct spot and dont overuse the letter Z and X.

o0o-- and about the supermarket- yes, I know all too well about that. I cant stand people who shop in Express or people who go for the week and get so impatient. Look- you take the time to go shopping so evidently you're not in that big of a rush so suck it up!

I'm with you guys as far as people not spelling out their words but instead using ghetto slang and making up abreviations for words. If I'm in a chatroom and someone IMs me saying, "how r u?" more than likely I shut the window without responding. I like for people to speak and type proper english.

Some of you brought up people standing in your way and not moving, oblivious or not. I can't stand that. I'm a shy person, so I'll just sit there and wait for them to notice me until I've finally had enough then I'll say, "Excuse me!" and walk right in between the two people.

I KNOW this is going to sound corny and stupid. But I CANNOT stand it when a guy says he'll call and doesn't. That irritates me to no end. If they have the slightest little doubt that they may not be able to call, DON'T SAY YOU WILL!

The 'are' and 'our' thing though is different. That's because of a lack of literary knowledge. I don't want to knock people for that because we all vary in that degree and for different reasons. Although it's nice that you gave a lesson about the two R's, lol. But the shorthand, or whatever that is, that people use is not a lack of knowledge. People know that they're mispelling words but they do anyway.?

Yes I hear ya. People, especially my co-workers are ALWAYS nagging at me because I live by myself. It's very hard to find the right person to share your life with. I don't want to be with someone who treats me like crap or doesn't have an education or doesn't want to work. Some people will go around with anyone they see just because they are too insecure to be alone regardless of how the guy treats them.
They also look at me like I'm some kind of weirdo because I'm 30 years old and have no children. I will not have children unless I am married to a decent man and we can afford to support them properly. Most of the people around here who have kids live in tiny apartments, drive sh**y cars and have no education and have to rely on the state to support their families. That makes me sick!

I'm not particularly fond of impatient people, particulalry when it come to waiting in lines.
As most of you know, i live in a very crowded city. Nine times out of ten, if you go into a supermarket, or a bank, or a post office, there is going to be a line. I've come to grips with this fact years ago, and I wait on line. Unfortunatly, I'm always in front of a person who has apparently never seen a line of people before in their charmed lives. Waiting on a line is completly foreign to them.
They start to fidget, they grumble or sigh heavliy, checking thier watch every ten seconds. If they're with another person, they discuss with each other the line. Why is there a line? Can you believe this line? Should we get out of this line?

Today I was at the supermarket waiting in line with my groceries. The impatient stooge behind me was giving me the evil eye as i loaded my groceries on the counter - he came to the store to buy a small bag of chips.
My neighborhood has about five hundred delis and bodegas that sell snacks, this dumbass came into a supermarket to buy one item.
Eventually he gave up and left the store.
Such impatience.

Impatient people drive me nuts too, although I must say that I have been in a store on many occasions where there were only three or four lines open and several people in each line. What's the point of having 15 registers when you're only going to open four at a time? I was in a store once where there was only one line open and the person in front of me was having some sort of problem which took forever to deal with. They didn't bother to open up another line. I just walked out empty-handed.

A lot of standing in line comlaints. I can undersatnd that. I've lived in small towns all my life but I don't like lines either. But, and this is a big but, once in a while I get reminded what it's like to live in a big city and to have to wait in a real line.

My daughter lives in a big city. She got a traffic ticket that she neglected to take care of. She asked me to come with her to the court. We waited in line for hours just to be told that we could come back later and wait again, just to be told later that we could go to court. Then we went to court. The court was full of poor suckers who obviously didn't have a dime to their name but were instructed to pay the court x amount of dollars by such an such a date.

Where I live, court is court but there is no waiting to speak of. And I even know the judges by name. It was an eye opening experience for me to go to court with my daughter.

Our world is out of control.

-when people in their little social circles at school are walking all slow and chatting totally ignoring the fact that their big group of friends is taking up the whole hall and other people are trying to get to class.

-when people look down on other people just because they're different from them and don't agree with their views on things.

-when my "friends" try to act like they're better than me (especially in school because they like to show off) and when they have their other, um I don't know, "cooler" friends around and totally ignore me. The only way I'll get to talk to them is if I say something first, and they don't even listen to me half of the time.

yeah, there must be more.

Because there are probably cashiers who were at them that are on break. Or on lunch. Or getting ready to punch in. Or just left.

I worked at Walmart for 8 years. The shifts started at 7 with 1 register open, then the other cashiers came in stacked at 7:30, 7:45, 8:30, etc depending on the day of the week. You can't have all 12 cashiers there at one time. The earliest one in gets breaks first and so on. There is no way, unless it's the week before Christmas, to keep all registers open all the time.

I hate it when people do not pick up their dogs POOP....

Case in point.........

One evening I was walking with my friends (many moons ago  ) down the street it was like 10:00 PM in the evening. The lighting outside was bad. Well we were walking and then all of a sudden my friends decided to play a game of tag. I was running (trying to get away from them) and I ran into the street in front of a car that was parked. AND Lo and behold........... I stepped into a mountain of Dog Doo! It didn't seem like it was a dog who did it. It seemed more like an elephant! It was a MOUNTAIN. I had pants on and they were mustard colored pants and you could see the dog doo on both my pants leg. Almost to the knee... I hated that...........

Tell me about it! I used to wait for them, but anymore I just shove my way through them. If they don't respect me, I don't respect them.

just when people do things that they know are going to tick me off. Like when my brother tries to fight with me and he picks on me all the time. And also when I tell him 100 times to stop, and I kick him really hard, and I get in trrouble by my mother. :o

And it could be real trouble if you need to type correctly for any reason. Talk about developing bad habits! My guess is that the people who do that just think it's cool. But that's MY guess. I would like to know what all of you people think. Including the ones that actually do type like that.

I agree with you Kitt! It is very annoying. But then I am a stickler for good grammar and good spelling skills! Bad habits are hard to break and in the adult world this kind of "cute" thing will only be a deterrent.

i HATE it when preps try to be punk. i aint a punk but its a big disgrace to the punk culture. i also hate it when SOME ppl perform metallica songs on mtv to look punk....dude avrils a disgrace to the song "fuel." i may never be able to listen to it for a long time. metallica is awesome and they arent posers. the thot of avril singing 1 of their songs to be hardcore pisses me off to no end.

If you don't like when people vent then ignore it and move on.I suppose you are perfect. If you ever come on here with a problem I'm sure you'll get much better treatment then you give.If you are so perfect and you know everything why don't you go solve all of our problems and become president. If people want to bitch for the hell of it they have every right.Do you run this message board No you don't so if you don't like the venting then don't post there. Those who bitch about those who do are acting superior. You probably have annoying personalty traits other then being self important that we don't see.I'm new to the boards but I have heard of message board members like you who try to dictate with telling everyone that there sick and tired of playing baby sitter. No one asked you to.Stay in the areas that you know,go hang out with self absorbed egomaniacs like yourself. The problem is you cannot answer anyones questions because you are emotionally detached, from feeling or caring. You have to be a man.If you are married and to be inlightned as you are she must be the head of the family.Grow up.life is a bitch people can vent all they want what Are you the message board god or something.

I cannot understand it when I read these rambling posts with neither punctuation, proper spelling, nor grammar.

I ALSO HATE IT WHEN PEOPLE SAY "I DON'T CARE"!!!! I hate it when people are inconsiderate and apathetic!!!! Another word I hate is "Whatever..." The handy little thesaurus word for mall-jamming goobs everywhere... They can't offer any more clearer opinion than a snotty "whatever"...I guess since I'm a person who tries hard to be courteous and find approval, I can't stand it when people say they "don't care"....

A thousand Iraqi children die from wandering into fields with cluster bombs-- ..."I don't care..."--:livid:

Christian speaker and author Tony Campolo says to one audience: "Tonight a million children in this world will go to bed hungry and you don't give a sh:mad:t. But what's really sad and frustrating is the fact that you're more concerned about the fact that I said the word 'sh:mad:t' than you are about the fact that a million children in the world will go to bed hungry tonight."

What really makes me angry is people who talk in movie theaters during the movie. A comment or two is okay, but some people talk through the whole picture. You know, I payed good money for the ticket and would like to be able to concentrate on the movie.

Also, people who sit down in the reading area of a bookstore, right next to people who are, in fact, reading, and then start a long, continuous conversation. What makes me angry more than the noise itself, is the fact that these people have all the information they need to know that they're probably seriously inconveniencing the people who are reading, and basically just don't care. Hey, it's their world and I'm just some kind of a prop on the stage of their life. About once a year, I tell these people to be quiet. That always works, but I find it hard to do and usually just fume in silence. Usually, by the time they leave or I leave, I'm ready to assassinate them. And people who let their children run around screaming in book stores are on my list too.

That is exactly right....I would have loved to see those people in the audiences' faces. He hit the nail right on the head with that.

Another thing I can't stand- Girls who act airheaded and dumb because they think it is cute. Unintelligence is NOT ATTRACTIVE!
