Two if by land and two if by sea and all four for a new all-time recordbreaker on The Price Is Right.

Saturday night on the first of three Price Million $ Spectacular hours, Derone Rankin of Long Beach, Cal., topped the Price record of Cosat Guard Capt. Thomas E. Arozen Jr. set last July 12 on another prime time edition.

Rankin won two cars and two boats on his way to the new mark of $160,118 in prizes. After winning a catamaran worth $2,895 in the night's opening game, Rankin snagged a new Chevy Corvette in the Five Price Tags game. The 'Vette was valued at $51,910.

After passing a Showcase including a trip to England, three video arcade games and a new Fleetwood motorhome to runner-up Diane Klein of Iowa Falls, Ia., Rankin bid $73,000 on an extravaganza including a new Cadillac Escalade, a Mastercraft Prostar 197 ski boat and a new entertainment center (including a 55" HDTV). Though $32,020 away, Rankin was closer with his bid on the $105,020 prize package.

Rankin's $160,118 was more than $32,000 ahead of the $127,660 in winnings for Arozen last summer.

Klein, from the home of Ellsworth Community College, came away no slouch as runner-up. She won a new Pontiac Vibe and a Ford Mustang deluxe coupe in the One Right Price game. She placed the $17,810 tag correctly on the Vibe.

Coming closer than any player yet to winning $1 million at the wheel, Klein won $1,000 but her bonus spin for the $1 million fell a few spaces short. Her total winnings: $42,280.

Among the night's other winners: Mark May, who captured $20,000 in cash in the Grand Game; Ashley Navarra, who won $15,355 worth of prizes in the Easy-as-1-2-3 Game and her audience bid for a new motorbike; and Aralia Mandelita, who now has a pair of Yamaha snowmobiles from the Pushover Game and a treadmill. Her total package: $17,867.
