Someone explain FTP's to me, please. This girl I met online invited me to download something off her FTP site but I couldn't even get access to the bloody thing!
What exactly are FTP sites and how do they work??

I'm not sure what they are either.

For those of you who keep asking what FTP is FTP stands for File Transfer Protocol. And what FTP is it's used for uploading files to a website server like I do or to download files such as text documents, mp3 files, video files, etc. If you know someone who has a server with files up for download then you would use an FTP program to download those files by logging into their server.

I use WS_FTP LE.
I used to use CuteFTP for downloading Bewitched episodes, but the guy who had them disappeared and since then I can no longer log in to download them. :sigh: :(

Yeah I used to use CuteFTP until my trial period ended.

I have CuteFTP and am quite lucky!!

Its unregistered and it has to be registered but all I do is click TOOLS/HTML MENU before it auto closes and its like it IS registered :) (Then clicking CANCEL gives me the full program once it tries to close out)

CuteFTP 8.0 for me. I bought it a long time ago. Dude111, http://www.oldversion.com must be one of your favorite sites for old software. As they say, newer is not always better. :)
